We educate the public in the area of the North Pennines in the history of mineral extraction and work to preserve, protect, and develop sites of historical interest connected with the industry and in particular, and for the public benefit, co-operate with and assist Durham County Council in the preservation, protection and development and improvement of the museum at Killhope.

The charity was formed for the purposes of providing financial and practical support to the Oriental Museum (which is part of the University of Durham) and to inform members about all aspects of the history, culture etc. of the Orient (through lectures, events, etc.).

Responsible for the management and maintenance of a community building on behalf of the residents of Langley-On-Tyne and surrounding district. The building is hired out to individuals and organisations for a variety of educational, social and recreational activities.

Meetings with speakers and demonstrators

Cambo WI provides social meeting opportunities for local women. It meets monthly on the third Monday at 7.15pm. We are committed to supporting educational needs through an Educational Bursary Fund.

The Trust shall be for the benefit of the inhabitants of Heddon on the Wall.

We manage and run South Charlton Village Hall on behalf of the local community.

The Newcastle Philosophy Society runs a number of regular events including lectures and conversation groups. The Newcastle Philosophy Society also works in conjunction with other local organisations to run one-off events including lectures and conversation groups. We have finances available for others wishing to pursue the running of such events.

To advance the Christian religion by preaching the Christian gospel and teaching the doctrines of the Holy Scriptures.In furtherance thereof disseminating Christian literature by gift or sale.

Community hall used for: parish council meetings, polling station, Women's Institute, Young Farmer's Club meetings & activities including drinks, community forums, public lectures, concerts, charity fund raising.

The charity is inspired to relieve the poverty, advance the education and protect and preserve the health of orphaned girls living in Pakistan, who have lost their parents in natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, in particularly but not exclusively, by the provision of an orphanage, inTehseel Kharyan, District Gujrat of Pakistan and in such other ways as the trustees may see fit.

Each week, a team of readers records the Hexham Courant, Tynedale's local newspaper, for distribution to blind and partially sighted people, and to other disabled people unable to read a printed newspaper. Recordings are copied onto memory sticks, and posted on Friday evenings. Listeners return the sticks to be re-used for the following week's recording. We normally have around 100 listeners.

The aim are to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences to improve and develope conditions of rural life, to advance thier education in citizenship, in public questions both national and internatial, in music, drama and other culturual subjects. It seeks to give to women the oppertunity of working together through the W.I

the Cambois Community Association was set up in 1996 to try to improve the quality of life for everyone that lives in or around the exmining village of Cambois

Our objective is to improve society through supporting the most vulnerable. We specialise in supporting vulnerable young people into Education, Employment, or Training (EET) that may otherwise become NEET.

Since the temporary closure of the Rothbury Community Ward the Coquetdale League of Friends continues to support the local health services and their patients in the community with equipment and services to enhance the provision and access to health care in this very rural area. We look forward to the re opening of the ward planned for 2022.
