Village Hall activities for the community include Brownies & Guides, Dancing, Keep Fit, Choir Group, Women's Club, Carpet Bowls, Coffee Mornings and occasional social events. The hall is also hired out for parties etc.

The charity now leases a building and sports field from the Parish Council and has refurbished the building in 2019.

To establish, maintain and manage a Community Centre and promote the benefits of the inhabitants of Winthorpe, Langford and Holme and the neighbourhood.

The protection of the environment for the public benefit, by seeking to improve flood defenses by working and communicating with the community, other similar organisations and relevant authorities to reduce the risk of flooding in the Lowdham and surrounding area, by helping manage the flow of water into, through and out of the village, and giving support to the appropriate authorities in keeping

Our vision in managing Eagle's Nest Community Centre is to provide a multi-use, multi generational community hub of excellence that is widely used by the people of Arnold. We will build community, be a catalyst for volunteer projects and partner with others to increase social provision.

The charity serves the communities within Derby extending to Derbyshire and surrounding towns and cities through faith based activities. Provision of a Volunteer Transport service for local residents who are registered with the Collingham Medical Practice and who lack an independent means of transport. Provision of medical equipment to the local Medical Practice for the benefit of all registered patients. And provision of other facilities around the villages for the use of the public at large. e.g. seating

The purpose of the charity is to provide physical and emotional support and relief of need to teenagers and young adults who have been diagnosed with and are being treated for cancer by the provision of grants and funding for equipment, events and other special activities that the trustees see fit to approve from time to time.
