Friends of Bramcote C of E PTA is run by a group of parents and staff who strive to enrich the educational experiences of children attending the school. We organise a range of family friendly events to help financially support school in their endeavours for children to enjoy "life in all its fullness": the school motto.

Scouting

To provide a building that can be hired by anyone, but especially the local community, for a range of activities.

Wenlo RDA is based at Normanton-on-Soar and offers disabled children and adults the opportunity to ride and look after horses to help their health, confidence and self-esteem.

Provide a local venue for social gatherings to promote village life & community.

Place of worship for the Newark's Muslim Community, provision of prayer facilities

The aim of the Charity is to provide a Recreation Ground and Welfare Institute with the object of improving the conditions of life of former miners, their dependents and the wider community.

General fund raising on local areas

We organise events for both adults and children throughout the school year to raise funds for the school. Examples of these events over the past year include a Family Treasure Hunt, Ladies Pamper Night, Quiz Night, Christmas Disco, Spring Disco and Summer Barbecue.

General social and educational activities for older people and those who are retired from full time work by all means, in West Bridgford and the surrounding locality.

Religious Activities. I.e. Church based services both Sunday and midweek, Counselling and support both at the church and home visits. Childrens/youth work (Sunday School). Fellowhip groups.

The provision & maintenance of five Almshouse bungalows (single occupancy) in Mansfield.

Fundraising, information and support for local breast cancer patients and their families.

Charity organize various gatherings though-out the year including Musical programmes, Poetry events, Lunch Clubs, Independence day celebrations etc

Fund raising activity is undertaken by the charity, members are parents of pupils and teachers at the school. The charity and the school decide each year upon an appropriate project which the charity can support. Past projects include playground enhancements and technology. Monies are raised through a variety of activities ranging from summer and Xmas fairs, cake sales to curry and quiz nights.

Provide facilities for local community groups to meet and engage in their particular activity.Occasionally organise events for the community.

Make grants to youth organisations in Newark and District

Recently the association has continued to refurbish and redevelop the 1905 old post office to transform it into a new heritage and research centre. The association also continues to research local history topics, publish books, and hold popular slide shows, talks and social events to raise interest in local history and support the building project and the charities aims.

The advancement of education and, in particular, the education of older people and those who are retired from full time work by all means, including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development.

We help to provide public access defibrillators in the regions of North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire

Money collected from Carol Float around Newark and surrounding areas. Monies donated to support local charitable causes and individuals to benefit the local people of Newark and surrounding district.

Income of the charity is to be applied in one or more of the following ways:In or towards providing such special benefits of any kind not normally provided by the local education authority for any school substantially serving the area of benefit as may from time to time be agreed between the trustees and the governors of the school concerned after consultation with the local education authority.
