TO PROVIDE FUN ACTIVITIES FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

The Dylan Rich Legacy provides funding for charitable projects providing (a) access to sport for young people in Nottinghamshire and (b) wildlife conservation and local employment in Kenya.

The charity exists to manage Coddington Village Hallas a venue for the people of the village and surrounding area to meet for event, meetings, classes, dance , parties and other activities. All administration, booking and management functions are currently carried out by volunteers as is most maintenance work.

Newstead Enterprise carries out urban & rural regeneration in particular in Newstead and surrounding area. Activities include education & training in land management particularly for young people; the development of a Visitor Centre and fishing lakes; the conservation, protection and improvement of the local environment; all using the Newstead & Annesley Country Park.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND PARTICULARLY THE EDUCATION OF THE MIDDLE-AGED AND OLDER PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT IN FULL TIME GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT. THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR LEISURE TIME AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE ABOVE PERSONS IN THE INTERESTS OF THEIR SOCIAL WELFARE.

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded. and assisting them to integrate into society.Socially excluded means excluded from society, or parts of society as a result of various factors including unemployment, financial hardship, youth or old age, ill health etc

We work with people of all ages and abilities and community project using theatre, drama, film, music and art to help develop confidence, aspiration and to address issues within the community. Currently we are working with; young people producing an online magazine, adults on fringe theatre projects, community groups to help develop the skills and confidence of volunteers

TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS BIRDS PROMOTING APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR BIRDS WHICH ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO BIRD WELFARE IN GENERAL AND THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY AND SUFFERING AMONG BIRDS.

We are a Christian charity who help the homeless in the Newark Area by providing food, clothes and where possible, shelter through the winter months. Our main first point of contact with our guests is through a drop in offering a hot meal and other practical support; this is usually held in a central church building in Newark from November to March.

Letting of Village Hall for Weddings/parties etc. Also sporting activities and recreational activities. Letting of hall for any other events requiring a spacious Village Hall.

Provide the police with an underground search and rescue service: DCRO is the closest organisation for the following police force areas - Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire (part), Derbyshire, Greater Manchester (part), Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire (part) and Warwickshire.

Newark & Sherwood Concert Band is a community wind band. Alongside Newark and Sherwood Development Band, the band provides ensemble performing opportunities for musicians of any age and of many abilities. It performs a number of public concerts each year.

The activities of our charity are fund raising, e.g. school fete, childrens' discos, sale of calendars etc. The proceeds of these activities are donated to schemes which benefit the school children.

To operate Thurgarton Village hall for the benefit of the local community and surrounding population. Enabling the use of the hall for a wide range of social, educational and arts and entertainments activity, available to everyone.

We run 40 bed hospital. Educate children (orphans & widows). Support widows. All free.
