Nottingham Alevis supports the Alevi community and wider public in Nottingham. We aim to preserve and share Alevi culture, promote education, wellbeing, and social inclusion, reduce isolation, and strengthen community cohesion. Our members include Alevi families, children, young people, and local residents participating in inclusive cultural, educational, and social activities.

Founded in 1966, the income from the fund is used to make grants to persons of good character in need of financial assistance to maintain a reasonable standard of living. This is intended for people who have very little private means . Grants are made once a year in either May or November, and applicants may apply again in another year if they so wish. R.D.C.S is a choral society which encourages a love of singing, membership is open to all and auditions are not needed. The season runs from September until June and two concerts are given each year with music chosen from a wide range of composers. Approximately 80 members sing with the society.

Through our own fundraising activities, we will invite existing charities and groups to access funds to provide support and opportunities for the local LGBTQ community. We will promote emotional wellbeing; enabling people to live safely and openly in the community we call home.

The object of the group is to boost the morale of both patient and their families by providing support, guidance and advice by maintaining contact by meetings, social events and provide advice from professional Speakers at monthly meetings. We also support cardiac rehabilitation programmes and make donations from time to time to the Cardiac Units at the two main Nottingham Hospitals.

The charity hires out the village hall and seeks to maintain and improve the hall for the benefit of the villagers. The charity is actively involved in fund raising to provide an updated facility for the use of the villagers.
