The provision of a Welfare Hall and Institute for the benefit of the inhabitants(and in particular, but not exclusively, members of the mining community) of Worksop and its neighbouring communities without distinction, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Supporting the students of Ash Lea School. Supporting the school, siblings and parents of Ash Lea School.

SCHOOL FUND RAISING

Each month we have talks on subjects of interest often with demonstrations. Several times a years the committee organise trips for the members to go on. We try to support the comunity by attending local fetes and by helping the local school after hours clubs by teaching the children crafts. Many sporting events take place, arranged by the local WI Federation

To enhance the lives of the pupils of Loughborough High School for Girls by raising funds to allow purchase of goods and equipment not normally provided by school income.

Fund-raising events to enable the Charity to purchase a holiday home with facilities providing respite for children with cancer and their families

The Group are based in Mansfield Woodhouse Nottinghamshire. Activities include camping, hiking and other activities connected with the scouting movement.
