Financial support of Church of England school in Harworth and poor parishioners in the parish of Harworth

Helping unemployed people in the most deprived areas of Nottingham. Providing professional appropriate work wear, training and support to raise employment prospects and contribute in a practical way to reducing worklessness in disadvantaged communities. Dramatically increasing confidence of those who struggle to believe in themselves and so find it difficult to sell themselves to an employer.

Own and maintain the historic barge LEICESTER TRADER as a heritage and learning centre for the navigation and trade of the River Trent and the people who worked the barges. The barge dates from 1953 and acts as a floating museum based at Newark, where it is open to the public on a seasonal basis.

LOCAL INFANT AND NURSERY SCHOOL

Lowdham Signal box will be preserved in a way that is accessible to the public, and near to its original location, and in its original context. It will be a hands-on display so visitors can try being a signalman, a job that was almost unchanged from the Victorian era until the 1970s.

Providing horse riding sessions for those adults and children with Physical and Intellectual disabilities in Nottinghamshire.

Missing Piece Child Loss is run to provide support in the form of services and recources to families in the event of suddon loss of a baby, child, or young person up to the age of 25.

We raise money to support young people with mental health issues. We do this by holding music events in Nottingham. We also organise other activities such as sponsored marathons and corporate events. We currently support OPUS which is an organisation that goes into hospitals to work with patients by engaging them in high quality music activities to the benefit of their health and wellbeing.

This charity operates openly in areas where help is desperately needed. The most recent appeals made were for the Pakistan Flood Disaster, Bangladesh Cyclone, Bangladesh Cancer Treatment and Kashmir Earthquake Appeal.

Providing trips, visits, activities outside school for all pupils of the school.

We organise an annual programme of events for our members and guests as a branch of the main WI movement. As a charity we organise fund-raising events in order to finance a Christmas meal and entertainment, free of charge, to all senior citizens in Clarborough and District.
