Own and maintain the historic barge LEICESTER TRADER as a heritage and learning centre for the navigation and trade of the River Trent and the people who worked the barges. The barge dates from 1953 and acts as a floating museum based at Newark, where it is open to the public on a seasonal basis.

To help the poor and needy in Carlton in Lindrick. We rent allotments. We have nomination rights to two bungalows on the Green administered by Bassetlaw D.C. for which they pay us a peppercorn rent. We make grants to clients recommended to us by various agencies.

We raise money to support young people with mental health issues. We do this by holding music events in Nottingham. We also organise other activities such as sponsored marathons and corporate events. We currently support OPUS which is an organisation that goes into hospitals to work with patients by engaging them in high quality music activities to the benefit of their health and wellbeing.

Southwell Civic Society was formed in the 1971 to resist growing pressure to radically alter the town. The Society is now an independent, non-political, voluntary charitable incorporated organisation which works to protect the local environment. Membership is open to all.

The objects of the Society shall be to educate the public to appreciate and enjoy the study of General Entomology and all Land Arthropods especially with regard to local species.

THE IVY OSBORN CHARITY GIVES WIDOWS AND ELDERLY SPINSTERS LIVING IN THE VILLAGE OF WALKERINGHAM A SUM OF PERHAPS £10-20 EACH DECEMBER. THE SUM DEPENDS ON THE NUMBER OF RECIPIENTS AND THE AMOUNT OF CASH IN THE ACCOUNT.

To provide accommodation and all services at the Wollaton Village Institutefor the benefit of residents in the Wollaton Village area, in Nottingham, at very modest rates, so as to secure an income to maintain the structure of the building and to keep it in good, clean condition.The building is used by the Wollaton Preschool, members of the public andothers at modest charges.
