We monitor the health and wellbeing of our members particularly the elderly ones and provide contact and emotional support.

The MTVCA seeks to conserve the environment in the Medlock and Tame river valleys and the surrounding districts both urban and rural by the preservation of natural and man-made features, the protection of flora and fauna and by the prevention of pollution and damage to amenities.It will maintain the house and grounds at Oaken Clough Terrace as the HQ of the Association and a wildlife garden.

Street Pastors is a Christian charity that helps people from all walks of life. It has groups in many different places and its role is to keep public spaces safe by offering help when needed in what ever form necessary. Saddleworth Street Pastors operate in Uppermill every Saturday evening. Our role is to listen and give help whenever it is needed.

Working with local community groups, Colleges and individual artists to develop skills/training in community drama, video and television production as a pathway to further and higher education and apprenticeships. The principal object of the charity is to promote such charitable purpose or purposes as the Trustees shall from time to time determine particularly but not exclusively to assist charities for the visually impaired.

OPEN SPACE FOR PUBLIC USE

We are mainly an environmental organisation. Over the last few years we have not been operating due to not having a lease on the land and unable to obtain liability insurance. We now have a Lease on the land and are now planning our future activities. We are opening our Community Garden on the 1st April 2013 and this will be accessible for all people. We also have a sports pitch.
