The object of Oxford Academicals Rowing Club is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, inparticular by the provision of facilities, encouragement and instruction in the sport of rowingand sculling for the public benefit of the inhabitants of Oxford and the surrounding areas.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

We are a pre-school for children from 2.5 years to statutory school age. Our aims are to enhance the development and education of children by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children though a community group. We offer play, education and care facilities.

The Helen Roll Charity aims to distribute about £300,000 annually between about 30 charities, often continuing to make grants to them over long periods. There is only room for grants to one or two newcomers each year. It operates through registered (or exempt) charities and no donations are made directly to individuals. MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF KENNYLANDS MILLENNIUM GREEN. THIS IS AN OPEN SPACE WITH PATHS AND SEATS FOR WALKERS AND A GRASSED AREA FOR PICNICS AND INFORMAL RECREACTION. AN AREA HAS BEEN SET ASIDE FOR WILDLIFE AND A SPINNEY HAS BEEN PLANTED ASTRIDE SOME OF THE PATHS; IT CONTAINS MANY DIFFERENT SPECIES OF TREES TO STIMULATE INTEREST.

THE CHARITY AIMS TO PROVIDE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY JUNIOR MEMBERS OF WILLIAMS COLLEGE, WILLIAMSTOWN, MASSACHUSETTS, USA AND PROVIDES FINANCIAL AID, ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES AND INDIVIDUAL TUTORIAL SESSIONS WITH FACULTY MEMBERS OF OXFORD UNIVERSITY, AND IN PARTICULAR IN CONJUNCTION WITH TUTORS AT EXETER COLLEGE, OXFORD, FOR A COMPLETE ACADEMIC YEAR.

A community pre school for children aged two and a half to five years - running on five days a week during term time and providing children with a friendly, secure and stimulating environment for their first experience of education.

The advancement of the education of the public in amateur dramatic art by its performance in Thame and district and the encouragement of interest in all aspects of the theatre

Maintenance of the allotments & surroundings. Identification of cases of individual need among parishioners. Identification of general need within the parish benefiting both individuals and the parish as a whole. This objective is usually accomplished by subsidies to existing organisations within the village.

HSSÔÇÖs principal activity is that of a club that provides after school rowing and sculling activities for children in Oxfordshire and Thames Region Schools.

IF OXFORD (OXFORDSHIRE SCIENCE FESTIVAL) AIMS TO ENGAGE AND ENTHUSE PEOPLE ABOUT SCIENCE AND CULTURE BY OFFERING ACCESSIBLE, CREATIVE AND RELEVANT ACTIVITIES TO THE BROADEST POSSIBLE RANGE OF PEOPLE. THE PROGRAMME IS DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE, WITH OR WITHOUT A BACKGROUND IN SCIENCE, TO BUILD SOCIAL AND CULTURAL CONNECTIONS, HAVE FUN AND PERHAPS EXPLORE A TOPIC THAT IS IMPORTANT TO, OR NEW TO THEM.

Provides lunch and various activities for the members on 3 days each week.

We aim to get more people cycling more safely and more often in and around Oxford by:- campaigning to get more people cycling, more often and more safely; - advocating for better cycling infrastructure with the Highways Authority; - putting on workshops, meetings and conferences; - undertaking initiatives within the community that help people to take up or continue cycling.
