We are a traditional village brass band. We aim to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education and appreciation of traditional and new brass band music. We perform publicly at fetes, concerts, in churches, public houses and functions. We provide opportunities for musicians to meet, borrow instruments and receive professional training and we encourage composers and arrangers by rehearsi

Income from the charity's investment portfolio ( which were originally gifted to the charity by Peter Ward in 1968) is distributed in the form of cash grants to such charitable causes as it determines each year The charity does not normally consider unsolicited applications.

The rescue and the preservation of life of persons injured or stranded underground and to assist other emergency services, including other cave rescue groups and mountain rescue teams.

Services every Sunday with occasional special services during week, and on special occasions. Prayer meetings. Bible studies. Fellowship groups. Occasional meals and suppers and coffee mornings. Now also providing a Lunch Club for the elderly in the village. Toddler group meet on Tuesday mornings, Yoga in the hall on Wednesday evenings and Band practice on Thursday evenings.

We are a volunteer organisation who provide free tuition and instruments for it's members. We have both a senior band and a training band. We finance our organisation by performing at paid engagements throughout the year and by our own fund raising efforts. we also complete a variety of charity events throughout the year

Didcot & District U3a is a learning cooperative of older people enabling members to share educational, creative and leisure activities. This is achieved through speaker meetings,outings and interest groups. Interest groups include, maths and science, medieval calligraphy, philosophy, book reading, wine appreciation. garden group and art appreciation.
