We submitted our application on 1st February 2020 and our charity successfully got registered in September 2020. In the month of March 2020, the first lockdown was announced in both UK and Pakistan. The senior-most Trustee of our Al-Mustafa KNA Trust, whose property and Unit Trust shares were to be utilized to initiate the charity purposes was unable to travel due to old age since then.

TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF THOSE IN RURAL VILLAGES IN PAKISTAN BY: 1. THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF BASIC ESSENTIALS SUCH AS CLOTHING, SANITATION AND NON-PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION 2. THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH BY ENABLING ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AND MEDICALLY EQUIPPED TRANSPORT 3. THE ADVANCEMENT

The main objectives of the charity are to advance and promote sexual reproductive health and facilitate family planning.

The Charity provides grants to individuals and organisations for the benefit of the public and other charities or voluntary bodies

Our aim is to feed the poor and needy in Pakistan where there is large amounts of poverty

To preserve and protect good health for the public benefit within rural socially & economically disadvantaged communities in countries overseas by providing education on health issues such as hygiene, nutrition, clean drinking water & sanitation; providing medical services; help prevent disease & create resilience; and to support other general charitable purposes that the trustees deem necessary.

The main activities of the World Bhangra Council are to advance the education of the public in Bhangra by promoting, sustaining and increasing knowledge and understanding of Bhangra through continued research and practice. Our success is based on active dialogue between artists and academics.
