Rising Voices Wessex is a community choir based in Dorset for people affected by cancer. Singing helps people to regain their confidence and improves their health and wellbeing. The choir provides support and encouragement; aiding recovery through singing. Together, we make music that matters. Whether we're pitch perfect or delightfully off beat, we sing with our hearts and that's a real gift.

Fundraising is a major part of our activities and directly contributes to the improvement of the school, and in turn, benefits all of the children within the school. We provide a way to build the whole school community, including links with the wider society, all of which benefits the school and offers a positive influence within the local area.

To assist members by offering support in undertaking operational patrol, rescue and competitive lifesaving activities, providing opportunities to acquire, maintain and improve lifeguarding and lifesaving skills, qualifications and physical fitness.

TO HOLD VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR TO ENABLE US TO RAISE FUNDS TO PROVIDE FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORTS THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCES THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.

We run a day centre on most Tuesdays. Part of the funding of the day centre comes from our charity shop (which only sells items donated by members & members of the public).

Provides additional comforts for elderly and sick living in residential home.

We operate in and around Poole and Bournemouth. We run a weekly programme of events, demonstrations, lectures, workshops, to which the general public is invited. We also manage a community art gallery, The Gallery Upstairs, in Upton Country Park, where we facilitate a regular programme of exhibitions by local art groups, charities and individual artists.

The objective of the Ruth Vines Trust is to provide funds to advance the Christian religion inany part of the world. The charity responds to requests for grant assistance, assessing these on the basis of their suitability in light of the charity's objectives

We aim to preserve and protect the physical and mental health of individuals who have had treatment for breast cancer by providing support and recreational activities and advancing the education of the public in the issues surrounding breast cancer. We do this by demonstrating the benefits of an active life style after treatment through the sport of Dragon Boat racing.

The Yolanda Moore Foundation supports ambitious young people aged 16 - 25 from London, Dorset, Hampshire and Otago with funding, mentoring and practical help. Inspired by the life and passions of Yolanda Moore, we seek to carry on her ambition to help inspiring young people pursue their passions. We particularly seek to help disadvantaged young people who do not have opportunities and support.

Providing for families in poverty,domestic violence, human trafficking, neglect, abuse etc with food, toys, birthday & Christmas gifts, clothing, furniture, toiletries, household items, white goods etc. Our referrals come from Social Workers, Police Liaison Officers, the local Refuges, Pastoral Care Workers etc. We run it in our spare time so every penny/item donated goes to the families in need

Annual Exhibition of traditional and modern arts and crafts

We are working to build a cultural and community centre on the former Power Station site in Hamworthy to serve the immediate and surrounding local community while providing a vibrant place for visitors. Our focus is on well being, the creative arts and growing community cohesion. Our work has started with community projects underway.

Poole Sea Cadets provides training for young people aged 12 to 18 based on Naval Traditions and Discipline.Our activities include sailing to RYA standards, Pulling (rowing) Adventure Training, PT, Shooting and Swimming. We have an active band which performs at functions & ceremonies.Cadets can train in specialisations from Catering through Radio Operator to Electrical & Mechanical Engineering
