We hold quarterly support meetings at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth for all Patients and Carers in the region who have had, or are about to have, an operation for Oesophageal-Gastric cancer. We visit some Patients and carers at home to provide support.We hold annual trips out to local places of interest for our members.We liaise regularly with other support groups, sharing information

WE PROVIDE EDUCATION & TRAINING IN ARTS, CULTURE & ENVIROMENTAL ISSUES

CHV is one of the network of Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Clubs (AFVBCs), each run independently BY their members and purely FOR the benefit of their members. Like the other AFVBCs around the country and internationally, we are run purely by volunteers and our aim is to help veterans to feel supported, both by meeting other veterans socially and by offering to help colleagues in need.

Range of activities and events run throughout the school year to provide fundraised income for the School and social and cultural activities for members of the school community.

Portsmouth Hospital Broadcasting Association broadcasts to the patients & staff of Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. The broadcasts contain local news and information as well as light entertainment.

Hazie days providesactivities that are inclusive to all taking into account the individual needs of children; supportive environments for families to seek advise; arts, crafts, games and fun; all to Reduce isolation for children and young people and families.

Established in 1946 RNBWS membership is open to all those interested in Birdwatching who share a common background - the sea itself. Membership (including Associate Members from overseas) averages 130: RN, Merchant Navies of several countries, the offshore oil, cruise passengers and yachtsmen. Activities included Field Trips, sponsorship of conservation, research and a sightings database.

The Foundation helps cricketers under the age of 19, living in Hampshire or the Isle of Wight, who need financial support to develop their talent or to pursue their interest in the game. We also support the development of local cricket for young people by providing grants to schools, cricket clubs and other organisations e.g. for funding coaching, providing equipment or enhancing facilities.

The main activity of Paulsgrove Community Association is to maintain and manage Paulsgrove Community Centre so that voluntary and community organisations have a place to meet, children and young people have sports facilities, there is a place for people to meet and a franchised cafe which provides meals. The Association also runs lunch clubs for people over fifty five years of age.

The preservation and restoration for the public benefit of windmills and watermills (in particular but not exclusively in Hampshire) which are deemed worthy of preservation and restoration and are of particular historical or architectural interest.To advance the education of the public in windmills, watermills and milling.

We make grants to the body of Christ in the Portsmouth area to include churches and individuals in relation to evangelistic projects. Unity is key and any grant application has to represent at least three churches/congregations and a commitment from the applicant to pay 25% of the overall cost. Our statement of Faith is the same as the Evangelical Alliance and must be adhered to.
