Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association provides support, advice and educational services for children and their families in South Hampshire. We offer an extensive range of services including early development sessions for preschool children, communication therapy, parent and professional training days and a school outreach service. We also hold social events, drama groups and seasonal parties.

Staffie and Stray Rescue take in dogs via phone calls/emails from members of the public wishing to surrender their dog. We also work with local authorities and help to find stray dogs a forever home. The College provides almshouse accommodation for eligible women, preferably widows or daughters of Ministers of the Church of England, in The Close, Salisbury and at St John's Priory, Wilton. THE NURSERY'S OBJECTIVE IS TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN UNDER STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE IN THE LOCAL AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. THE NURSERY OPERATES FROM TWO CLASSROOMS WITHIN AN INFANT SCHOOL, TERM TIME ONLY .

Footprints uses volunteers who we train as mentors to mentor and support ex-offenders leaving prison and returning to our area.

To Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Buckland and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and wellbeing.

Pushing change promotes social inclusion by empowering people to overcome issues of dependency, mental health and homelessness. We do this by providing peer support, peer advocacy, education, training, awareness raising and self development. We also provide direct support for people to access services and represent service user interests with commissioners and service providers.

Little Spinnakers Community Pre-school is a pre-school for children aged 2 years to 5. We aim to help the attending children develop as an individual, and learn how to interact with others outside the home environment. We offer a broad range of play activities to the children for them to gain new experiences and knowledge. Our goal is to give a good stepping-stone into full time education.

Stacey Centre is managed by The Community Association & supported by Portsmouth City Council. The centre has a five-a-side floodlit football pitch, car parking facilities & disabled access. Groups running at the centre include Nature Nursery, Men in Sheds, karate groups, dance classes, stroke club, social club for people with learning disabilities plus community orchard & community cycle project.

ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL REGENERATIONThe charity makes small Community Project Grants to voluntary groups and organisations in Portsmouth & SE Hampshire.During the current period the Partnership Foundation is also supporting homeless charities.

The work of the Sisters of Bethany has always been prayer for the Unity of the Church, hospitality and retreat work. Whether residential or daily the retreat creates space both individually or in groups to stand back from their daily lives and be with God in a quiet and prayerful atmosphere.We have a Novena each year for more Vocations to the Religous Life and intercede every Thursday for Unity.
