We organise an annual agricultural and horticulural show in the village of Gwenddwr, for the benefit of local people and visitors.

Friends of Ysgol Dolafon are parents, staff and members of the community who raise funds for our local primary school. We do this through our own fundraising events and by taking part in others run by local community groups and organisations. Funds raised buy essential items required in school, as well as supporting trips and activities which would not be affordable within the school's budget.

The Community Hall provides essential facilities for the community and its surrounding area to use for various events. The Hall committee are committed to providing a high quality service and when funds allow to further invest in new facilities in which the community can benefit from.

Provision and maintenance of a Village hall in the village of Rhydycroesau

The Rhiwlas Centre provides facilities for physical, social, cultural and recreational activities, with attention to the provision of leisure time activities for young people.The Rhiwlas Centre has facilities for daytime and overnight bunkhouse style accomodation for youth groups, Christian Groups, language classes and courses; as well as talks, concerts, Twmpaths and local society meetings.

Promotion of 8 monthly lectures each year on the arts from September to May. Organisation of visits to museums, galleries, exhibitions and sites of historical and cultural interest. All events are open to non-members.

Brecknock Play Network supports and facilitates the development of children and young people's play provision in Breconshire and Powys.

TO RAISE FUNDS IN ORDER TO PUT ON NEWTOWN'S ANNUAL CARNIVAL WHICH INCLUDES A PROCESSION AND EVENTS IN THE TOWN HALL GROUNDS. THIS IS AN ENJOYABLE DAY OUT FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN. ANY SURPLUS MONEY IS THEN DISTRIBUTED TO LOCAL ORGANISATIONS.

Supports religious activities and gives grants of £500 to Bethania Chapel, Penybantfawr.

To equip and train doctors to work voluntarily with the ambulance service at the scene of accidents, medical emergencies, major incidents and transport to hospital.Raise money for equipment and fund extended training for the doctors.To encourage extended training in immediate care for local GPs, nurses and paramedics.To encourage first aid training locally for members of the general public.

Troedrhiwdalar YFC is open to all young people age 10 to 26 years of age. The programme includes; training, community projects, rural crafts, sport, drama and much more.
