The Association aims to further relations between member teams & member teams & other interested parties; represent member bodies on the Mountain Rescue (England & Wales); & maintain & improve standards of member teams.

The Society, which was formed in 1968, takes an active part in preserving our heritage. We promote various projects in local history and offer advice. We maintain links with local archives, libraries, museums and groups connected with archaeology, family history and industrial archaeology. Lectures and guided walks are held throughout the year.

TO PROVIDE THE PEOPLE OF THE TOWN AND AREA A FACILITY TO SHOW THE HISTORY OF GUISBOROUGH AND TO PRESERVE INTERESTING ARTEFACTS OF THE TOWN AND AREA.THE MUSEUM IS OPEN TO THE PUIBLIC TWICE A WEEK THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER AND PUTS ON EXHIBITIONS WHICH ARE OF INTEREST TO THE PEOPLE OF THE AREA

During the pandemic and the ensuing months our activities were necessarily limited. We did make up mouth care packs consisting of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and information about head and neck cancer. These were distributed to food banks in local areas. Thanks to helpers in Stockton and Darlington.We are now beginning the process of strengthening the charity with some new trustees and supporters

We are a co-educational organisation which runs activities in accordance with our National Headquarters rules and regulations. Giving members from 6 to 25 the opportunity to take part safely in adventurous and exciting activities both indoor and outdoor. the members have taken part in camps, hikes, water activities, sport days and have earned badges through the sectional progressive badge scheme.

We strive to give young people a head start in life through nautical adventures and fun. We teach them soft skills to enable them to become responsible young people.

Our principal function is overseeing the village hall, letting it out for community and private lettings and keeping it maintained for village use. We also run various activities for the benefit of the village

Friday Friends provides a friendly and supportive environment in which adults with additional and special needs can engage in enjoyable and purposeful activity aimed at encouraging increased independence and enhanced social interaction.

Raise funds through activities such as school discos, fairs, raffles and completions for Belmont Primary School. The money raised is used to enhance the educational experience of pupils at the school through the purchase of new equipment and the subsidising of school activities,

Our activities are very much community based. A small fishing village, with an industrial history of ironstone mining, and steel works, only a small specialised part of the steelworks remaining (steel brought in by road/rail, from Teesside). High number of unemployed/retired in an area of social deprivation. A good and tight knit community, the village hall provides for the needs of the community

We have always strived to be a help to the cancer community and have done this verysuccessfully but we are hearing of other hospital departments that also need help sowe would like to broaden our objectives that way can provide equipment for thetreatment of other illnesses while still providing help for those affected by Cancer .

We provide free at the point of delivery services around substance misuse, providing advocacy and recovery coaching to the most marginalised and vulnerable individuals in our society. We give clients the opportunity to recovery and rediscover their life goals as well as providing them with a toolbox of health coping strategies to reduce the risk of relapse.
