OUR GROUP PROVIDE A MEETING PLACE FOR THE COMMUNITY WHERE HEALTHY LIVING ACTIVITIES TAKE PLACE: KEEP FIT CLASSES, COMMUNITY CHOIR, SLIMMING WORLD CLUB AND MOTHER AND TODDLER GROUP. ROOM/ KITCHEN HIRE IS AVAILABLE; HALL ACCOMMODATES WHEELCHAIR USERS AND PUSHCHAIRS. WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY EVENTS INCLUDING AFTERNOON TEAS, CONCERTS, DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING, FAIRS, TABLE TOP SALES AND POLLING STATION.

A not -for-profit, sport, physical activity and educational activities charity, serving each local community in which it has a base. The focus is to promote participation, encourage social inclusion develop healthy lifestyles, deliver social, educational and community activities for engagement of children, young people and adults to improve health and wellbeing.

The community centre is of service to the community of Llantwit Fardre & beyond. It provides a safe & secure environment for a wide range of activities, ranging from playgroup to OAP drama, dancing, social activities and many more.

Education of young people in East Africa, primarily in Arusha Region, Tanzania, by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education in schools.The prevention or relief of poverty in East Africa, primarily in Arusha Region, Tanzania, by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.

Life in the Nations is a FAMILY minded church with a heart for the local community. We do what we can to reach the people of our village and the surrounding areas. We also have a much wider international interest with links in India, Africa, Bulgaria, etc. We have an orphanage in south India where we currently have 38 children. We want to extending the building as there is a great need.

Day to day management of small woodlands of which one has public access. Sales of products resulting from the management including woodfuel, green craft products and honey. Tree planting and wild flower cultivation within woodlands. Providing facilities to encourage wildlife and biodiversity development, eg nesting boxes, clear areas of invasive species and litter pick as required.

The Charity operates in the UK, Uganda, Nepal, India & Ethiopia. In the UK and India the Charity undertakes school visits reaffirming a positive life message through Christian teachings.

THE CHARITY PROVIDES PREMISES AND GROUNDS IN A SUITABLE STATE OF REPAIR FOR USE BY THOSE WHO LIVE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT (CWMDARE AND SURROUNDING AREA).

Provides sports facilities for general public use - bowling green, football field and 3g 5 a side football courts. Clubhouse providing social meeting area for ex miners, OAP club, gardeners club and general public use.

Maintain and improve the Phoenix Centre, Ton Pentre as a community facility.

To offer all members of the community opportunities to undertake a range of sporting and social activities (Open Access, Dance Football, Martial Arts, Creative groups ie jewellery,cardmaking and many more) which encourage healthier lifestyles, developing new skills and working toward employment. We offer appropriate activities to all members and encourage full participation.

Provision of education and activities for women, providing opportunities for women to develop new skills, friendship and to achieve their full potential.

- Raising awareness of issues and challenges faced by the autistic individuals and their families from the various ethnic communities in the UK.- Providing resources through discussions and sharing information around the barriers that ethnically diverse autistic communities face.- signposting, working with organisations to work around/ease these barriers for the families & their community.

Support village activities by providing a village hall for all villagers of Efail Isaf and surrounding areas.

Performing Arts

Bridgend & District Beekeepers Association encourages, improves and advances beekeeping in Bridgend and the surrounding areas for the benefit of all. The Association provides both theory and practical courses and a programme of talks on beekeeping and associated topics for beginners and more experienced members. Those who do not keep bees but are interested in the topic are also welcome.

The Charity is staffed by volunteers from local Churches & open 15hrs a week for trading & consultation. Monies accured are used to help those in poverty & to support other Community projects,.with referrals for those families in crisis from other professional Bodies. F.P works closely with local Churches and trades people in providing food hampers and other assistance etc, .

To provide facilities and opportunities for outdoor experiences in the interests of social welfare for education, recreation or other leisure time occupation. This is provided for individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of youth,infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.

Treorchy Senior Citizens' Club is open for Membership to any person over the age of 55years living in the Treorchy Area. Membership encompasses all ethnic and people with disabilites and Members of the Community are also encouraged to use our Meeting Hall for numerous and varied Activities.

Worship of God in the Congregationalist tradition - Services, prayer meetings, bible study groups.The play groups and foodbank have not restarted since the covid lockdown.

Recreation and other Leisure occupation, in particular, but not exclusively for, such inhabitants of the Beneficial area as are members of the Mining community

Undertake fundraising activities to distribute grants to local individuals, groups and charities.
