The Charity is responsible for running the Abercynon Memorial Paddling Pool which is in the Abercynon Park.It provides the facility for children up to the age of 11 their families/carers

Ynysybwl Community Centre. Used for refreshments, lunches and as a meeting place up to 5 days a week. Weekly Baby Bank and Food Bank. Health & wellbeing sessions such as flu jabs, hearing loss etc. Exercise classes 4 times a week. Monthly Community Council meetings. Meetings for local organisations. Special events eg Christmas, VE Day, Easter, Halloween. Birthday parties.

The Society is a voluntary organisation open to everyone.Its main purpose is to advance the enhancement, protection and conservation of the countryside and other amenities of the Brecon Beacons National Park for the benefit of the public, working with other public bodies in England and Wales.The Society also runs a series of guided walks throughout the year.

THE CIO OWNS A RECREATION GROUND KNOWN AS YNYS PARK WHICH CONTINUES TO BE WELL USED BY THE COMMUNITY WITH A NUMBER OF LOCAL FOOTBALL TEAMS USING THE GROUND COVERING A VARYING AGE GROUPS FROM JUNIOR THROUGH TO SENIOR TEAMS, AND A NEWLY REFURBISHED COMMUNITY CENTRE WHICH PROVIDES A FOCAL POINT FOR THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.

We meet at the Rock Community Church for religious services, we open to the public for foodbank which we also deliver to those in need, and support the community in various ways that we can, from helping with food to just being someone to talk to

Founded in 1968, the Rhondda Symphony Orchestra (RSO) is a leisure-time music group performing symphonic concerts to local communities in South Wales. With around 60 active members, the orchestra attracts young musicians, while many have remained with the orchestra for over 30 years. The RSO also awards annual bursaries to young musicians leaving school to help with their further development.

A charity that educates and promotes farming and associated activites in rural areas to young people between the ages of 10 and 26. Activities include social events, competitions, trips away and courses.

Friends of Maesgwyn organise fundraising activities the proceeds of which are used to benefit the pupils of Maesgwyn Special School.

Regional Bowls League and Competitions and also compete in Internationals and Home Nations Tournaments, fundraising activities to support players attending International and Home Nations Tournaments.

Hedgehog Helpline operates in South East Wales. We rescue, rehabilitate and release sick, inured or orphaned hedgehogs to release back into the wild.
