Provision of brass band training for children and adults and entertaining/educating the public in brass band music through concerts and performances.

We help people with Downs Syndrome and their families. We run informative events, provide support, advice and social activities, promoting awareness of Downs in Cardiff and SE Wales. Over 140 families have free membership and members with Downs help lead the group. We are financed solely from donations and fundraising.

Rhondda ward old age meets once week;y on a Thursday afternoon where members meet and socialiseover a cupof tea/coffee. Sometimes we hold a quiz, bring & buy or play bingo. We hold a weekly raffle. members support other local events and we usually have some leisure trips throughout the year. The members are also members of the local 50+ forum supporting local isues affecting older person.

The band provides music and entertainment within the locality. Organisations serviced include local care homes, nursing homes, local charity events, fates and parent teacher associations. The band also perform at church concerts, Christmas carol services and British legion armistice day parades. Players in the band give of their free time to teach and encourage young persons to play music.

Our charity is to support the pupils of Ysgol Ty Coch Special Needs School. We raise money by holding fetes, fayres, raffles and race nights. We're also very lucky to be given donations from local companies, parents etc

Ferndale Spiritualist Church offers to members of the public and congregation, religious activities & events. The church delivers a Divine Service on a Sunday hosted by a Medium. And the church also on Thursdays a service of Spiritualist Demonstration. The service dates alternate. Open to members of the public and to members.

Sustainable Wales promotes and encourages sustainable development through practical projects, consultancy services, information, advice and support. SW also create resources and publications, offer project managment, training, facilitation and group development.

Judge hall trustee fund exists to support local good causes within the area. This is manifested in financial assistance to group/organisations and individuals in order to help them fulfil their aims & objectives.

ORGANISING ACTIVITIES TO BOOST SCHOOL FUNDS

Penygraig Community Project develops facilities to support children, young people and families living in Penygraig and neighbourhood creating opportunities for play, youth and community activities.

To create and maintain facilities at Gelligaled Park, Ystrad for the benefit of the inhabitants of Ystrad Rhondda and the surrounding area. The purposes of the facilities are play, leisure and sport for individuals and groups who have need of such facilities irrespective of their age, physical or mental capacity, financial situation or social and economic circumstances.
