Charities In Rhondda Cynon Taff

We are here to help the musical youth who play in the RCT area.We support children who play in ensembles through the RCT Music Service and schools.

The primary activities of the charity shall be fundraising via events including, but not restricted to, an annual fireworks display. Funds raised shall be distributed by way of grants and donations to charities and good causes in Cardiff and the surrounding geographic areas.

Offering sporting and social activities to 7-25 year olds promoting equality of opportunity for young people to fulfill their potential to develop new skills encourage motivation and further develop existing skills to feel valued and listened to access to: positive role models and peer relationships evidencing pro social behavior and to have fun.

Promoting road safety through improving driving standards and preparing candidates for the Advanced Driving Test

To promote road safety awareness in affiliation with the Institute of Advanced Motorists.To train and encourage motorcyclists in advanced riding techniques and safe riding

to provide recreational activites for the Penywaun area

To grant monies to assist ordained ministers of religion to enable them to have a holiday.

To provide information on Archaeological matters by means of lectures and field visits

To provide items and funds for projects which add to the visitor experience at Llancaiach Fawr Manor House - a living history museum set in 1645 during the English Civil War.

We are a local community church. We provide usual church activities from Temple Chapel on the Graig in Pontypridd. We seek to provide overseas aid / famine relief as and when required, as well as supporting charitable works in Uganda, Canada and the USA, and here also in the U.K.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PTA (A REGISTERED CHARITY) ARE TO ADVANCE THE CHILDREN'S EDUCATION. TO RAISE MONEY FOR ABERDARE TOWN CHURCH PRIMARY SCHOOL. TO DEVELOP EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF, PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL; AND TO ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDE FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL

TO PROVIDE A LOCAL LIBARY WITH I.T FACILITIES. THE HUB WAS SET UP AFTER THE REMOVAL OF THE LOCAL LIBRARY. THE FREE I.T FACILITIES ARE USED BY JOB SEEKERS TO SIGN ON AND SEEK EMPLOYMENT.HELPING ORGANISATIONS ARE OFFERED A FREE OUT REACH FACILITY TO SEE CLIENTS. RESIDENTS CAN GET RECYCLING BAGS AND LOCAL INFORMATION, SUCH AS COMMUNITY COUNTY COUNCIL MINUTES. WE HELP TO DEVELOP NEW COMMUNITY GROUPS.

To raise funds for Llantrisant Primary School and to facilitate social events.

Arts, Educational and Advice to promote the development and extension of the use of the local publicly run library

Improving the physical conditions for thyroid cancer patients receiving treatment at Velindre hospital, Cardiff. Developing gardens outside treatment rooms to provide a pleasant outlook for patients. A mural to provide an interesting view for patients. Providing information booklets for patients. Raising funds for new projects that will benefit thyroid cancer patients specifically.

To arrange activities which provide social occasions for parents and also fund raise to support students in the School

We meet, as a full group once a month. The venue is at Cynon Linc in Aberdare. We hold a business meeting, followed by a speaker. At various times in a month we hold groups in poetry, reading, walking, gardening, music and travel trips.

Supporting the activity of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Project in conserving the natural beauty of the environment and providing amenities for the general public.

The Maerdy Archive exists to promote the collecting of material i.e. photographs, written material and some artifacts on the past and present of the town of Maerdy, Rhondda. We have to date numerous photographs of the village and of the people who lived there in the past. All our collection is open to anybody who seeks information on the history of Maerdy.
