GENERAL FUNDRAISING FOR LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHARITIES

Parent Teacher Association for Anston Greenlands J & I School

playing concerts locally and by taking bookings from groups and organisation mainly within the Rotherham area.playing at outside events such as the Rotherham Show etc.

Provide additional resources i.e Extended School Services and specific resources for pupil enrichment (School & Hospital)

To help people in need within the Parish.

To provide support to those in financial hardship who live or worship in the ecclesiastical Parish of Whiston

Provision of Public facilities, including five tennis courts (hard and grass), bowling green, pitch and putt, play area for under 10's, skateboard park, kick-about area, youth shelter, intermittent car boot.

Scouting activities for young people, in partnership with adults, working together based on the values of Scouting.

Provides a drop-in centre for the elderly once a week with transport for those who need it. Provides a social outlet for the elderly in order to keep them in their own homes for as long as possible rather than going into residential accommodation. Organise trips and other social events.

Provides recreation and pleasure ground for use by residents of Thrybergh.

Various fund raising activities such as concerts, appeals for donations from business and private sources in order to help finance the holidays awarded.

Religious, charity projects and community activities

Such charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of Ravenfield, Rotherham and the surrounding area, as are exclusively charitable according to the laws of England and Wales as the trustees may from time to time determine

Giving motorcycling guidance at an advanced level towards individual associate members passing the Institute of Advanced Motorists, Motorcycle Examination to allow full membership. This promotes safer motorcycling in accordance with the aims of the IAM.

Holds public meetings and writes letters to relevant authorities to protect and conserve important local amenities.

The John Leggott College Student Fund exists to provide financial support to students and to try to ensure that no student is unable to complete a course of education at the college simply due to financial restrictions. The Student Fund also occasionally provides support for students undertaking enrichment activities outside the normal college curriculum which enhance their educational experience

The Sheffield Area Geology Trust includes the South Yorkshire RIGS Group and the Sheffield Building Stones Group.Activities include education and geological conservation linked to geodiversity and landscapes, mostly within the area around Sheffield, including South Yorkshire and Peak District, north Derbyshire and north Nottinghamshire.

Training of Ordinands

Operate in Rotherham area. Hold monthly meetings with speakers and provide opportunity for women to learn and meet in a safe environment. Take part in local village activities, eg cake stall at village day.

PTA CHARITY THAT RAISES FUNDS TO ENHANCE PUPIL LIFE WITHIN SCHOOL

During the year the Society held a series of public lectures, organised visits of interest to the membership, continued work on regular publications and continued to monitor developments at its various sites and elsewhere in South Yorkshire.

Dan's Helping Hand main objective is to provide financial assistance for funeral costs to families of young adults who have died, primarily as a result of terminal illness, such as cancer. This has been achieved by successful application for a grant of £500 per family yo funeral costs.
