AU provides free information on: Benefits & Entitlement, Career, Education, Training, Health & Well-being, Housing Issues,Basic Immigration information, Employment and Volunteering,BME engagement and participation, Mentoring and Advocacy.

Provide financial support for natural history based projects

The charity makes grants to organizations, voluntary groups, and individuals working mainly,but not exclusively, with vunerable young people.

Fund raising to be able to issue awards for new Open University Graduates who have gained their degrees despite adversity, over and above that of the average student, to assist them in further study with the Open University.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

To provide for the theatrical education of young persons resident in Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire who are members of an operatic or dramatic society affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Asssociation and to make grants to assist in disbursing the cost oftheir attendance at Theatre School Courses or Study Groups.

The Charity provides grants to eligible charitable organisations. Whilst the Trustees have absolute discretion, the overall mix of grants over time represents approximately 30% to the North of England Zoological Society, 30% to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and 40% to various charitable organisations mainly in the Sheffield region, often those supporting community-based projects.

Rescue, rehabilitate & rehome where possible, equines, cats & dogs. We act as a 'safe house' for RSPCA, police & other groups rescued horses. We allow visits from schools, disadvantaged people, disabled and other interested parties.

To relieve poverty

The RYCA's activities focus on the health social and educational welfare of the Yemeni and various Arab communities in Rotherham. This has been acheived by providing an advocacy service, community engagement support and activities, support to young people, adults and elderly, males, females, asylum seekers and refugees. Provision of educational support and interpretation & Translation support.etc.

Events/fund raisers organised in this financial year included race nights, night time golf event, an evening with comedien Steve Womack and our annual Black & White Ball. We feel privileged to have helped almost 800 children during the year.

The charity operates on 2 fronts:running meetings to support parents understanding of their children's educationthe fundraising events enables Oakwood to use funds to create additional resources within the school

The charity raises and utilises funds for Milton Special School, Rotherham.

We run social activites for our members, their carers and their families. This can be anything from meals out to games night, our members are in a safe environment with support around them. We also run information events at local Sheffield hospitals to raise awareness of Brain Injury.

We provide financial support to families living with Cancer in Sheffield and the surrounding area. Financial support is given through Grants or by the Charity purchasing specific items directly for the applicants. Applications are received via referrals from local health care providers or directly from local families living with Cancer. The Charity operates from Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

THE CHARITY IS A GENERAL PURPOSE CHARITY, GIVING CHARITABLE HELP TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, THE ELDERLY AND OLD PEOPLE AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OR SPECIAL NEEDS. IT MAKES GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS.

Provide a range of inclusive activities for children and young people including Breakfast Club, Afterschool Club, Holiday Playscheme, Toddler Groups, Creche Facilities. Stomp Clubs took over the running of Hullaballoos Indoor Play Centre in February 2012.

BOXING, KARATE, FITNESS, SELF DEFENCE & NUTRITION/WELLBEING

Our place of operation is in UK /West Africa mainly Sierra Leone and Liberia, providing education, help and support to the Homeless Disable, Orphans and Victims of Domestic Abuse. We also solicit funds to pursue our goals, We establish Schools, Water Well's, and Vocational Inst. for Women affected by domestic Abuse and young Adults. We Educate and sensitize women on the danger's of FGM.

PROVIDE HOMES FOR RETIRED MINERS

Responsible for historic collections, exhibitions, events and enquiry services relating to the history of the York and Lancaster Regiment and its forbears.
