TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION OF BADGERS IN THEIR NATURAL HABITATS; TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE BADGER AND THEIR SETTS FROM PERSECUTION AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES AND TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE NATURAL HISTORY AND ISSUES FACED BY BADGERS TO THE MUTUAL BENEFIT OF BADGERS AND THE PUBLIC. OPERATING PREDOMINATELY WITHIN LANCASHIRE BUT CAMPAIGNING NATIONWIDE.

Education of the public by promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the City of Salford Museums in co-operation with management and staff. This has included a project to mark the centenary of WW I, assisted by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, projects to further develop the gardens at Ordsall Hall as a heritage resource and supporting local heritage magazine The Salford Link.

To perform choir concerts in a variety of venues from Church Halls to Churches and Concert Halls, for a variety of organisations including Charities. We have a wide range of musical styles, from 'pop' to oratorio.

Singing training to male members, giving concerts to support other charitable and community based organisations.

Heritage Tramcar restoration and running of restored vehicles within Heaton Park in Manchester, run solely by volunteers. Maintaining heritage tramway infrastructure and undertaking restoration works on tramcars originally built from 1880 onwards.

Provision of support service to disabled residents of Salford who receive a direct payment from Salford Social Services. Support services include payroll, recruitment of carers, employment advice, basic accounting. Also provision of a fully supported financial assistance service & act as support in discussions with social services & other professional bodies.

The SCT makes grants to Registered Charities at the discretion of the Trustees.

The charity considers requests for grants made by organisations and individuals operating primarily in Greater Manchester, but also the northwest of England more generally. A joint decision is reached by the trustees as to the public benefit of these applications, and grants are issued accordingly.

All in Swinton, or in order of priority a) Persons who are attending the schools. b) Persons who have at any time attended the school. c) Persons under the age of 25 resident in Swinton & Pendlebury.
