This is a school PTA. All money raised through school activities, raised by school fairs and social events is used to fund school trips, equipment or other school costs. Increasingly it is used to plug government funding cuts.

Education of the public through the publication of monographs and editions of documents concerned with Lancashire and Cheshire for the purpose of furthering knowledge of their history.

Fund raising for Churchtown Primary School

To provide relief to elderly/disabled/groups of people who are in the Chester area and need financial assistance to serve others and to relieve poverty.

The object of St John's Waterloo PTFA is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Bedford Primary is situated in an area of severe socio economic deprivation, our aim is to:1. Provide our children and their families and wider community with enrichment opportunities and support which they may not otherwise be accessible2. To establish and nurture relationships with our families to benefit everyone in our school and community3. To broaden the horizons of our children

Supply weekly recordings of local news, to registered blind and partially sighted in Southport and district.

To advance the education of pupils by assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school and to extend relationships between staff, parents and others.

The charity invites donation requests and distributes funds for any charitable purposes in the Southport area

Supporting local charities

To spread the Christian message to all people in Maghull, Lydiate, Merseyside, North West and further afield for the advancement of Christianity through the printed word.

We aim to encourage sport, fitness and well being to the general public through the use of physical classes and in particular the martial art of judo. We also use other community classes to expand the local community spirit and cohesion.

Raising money to provide equipment which is not supplied by the local education authority

The Friends of St.Joseph's are a fundraising group,set up for the benefit of residents and day people who use St.Josephs adult services.The funds raised are to provide additional amenities and opportunities that contribute to their quality of life.

Community Hall: Over 60s Club, Tai Chi Club, Chair Exercise Club, Chris Wright's School of Dance & Drama, Marshside School of Dance, Marshside Brass Band. R. Hardy Group. Promotes equal opportunities and supports the underpriviledged. Funds underpriviledged, disabled, disadvantaged to learn within any of the groups. Supports Sefton Fit and Active with free Summer School for ages 1 - 17

Creation of a docklands trail exhibiting the history and activity of the north Liverpool and Bootle docks, to educate and improve the aspiration of the youth of adjacent communities. To provide a unique tourist attraction to benefit the local economy and help in the regeneration of the adjacent areas.Managing the project to provide work experience for local youth and permanent employment.

The Charity purchases additional specialist equipment for children with physical disabilities and complex medical conditions who attend Sandfield Park School.

Formby CTA is a community transport group which operates under Section 19. It has one minibus which has wheelchair access. The bus opens up opportunities for many individuals or groups who would be socially isolated without our service and volunteers.

Fund raising events including: raffle, Spring Gala, Bunny Fun, Christmas Fayre, Discos Money spent on children to include; Reading materials ,PSHE programme for school, medals, Leavers Beach Party, Educational school trips, Themed days.
