Counselling and counselling training

WHISC is run by women for women to provide appropriate training, information and support, which addresses the needs of women within different communities in Liverpool who are disadvantaged in access to health care and education.

A Self Advocacy organisation for adults with learning difficulties, working across Liverpool and Sefton. Supporting people to work together in a group to speak up for themselves to enable them to have more control over their own lives, create a supportive network to encourage more people to speak up, provides information and signpost people who may need a different type of advocacy service.

The Liverpool District of the Methodist Church has been merged into the North West England District (Charity Number 1135459) under whom all activities are now managed. Technicalities around transfer of certain assets are being worked on and once resolved the charity will formally be closed.

ICANN provide information and advocacy services across Lancashire. We support vulnerable people to give them a voice, empower, increase resilience, and improve their lives. Current projects include financial inclusion, advocacy for disability related benefits, in some areas we have a form filling service for benefits. ICANN also provide advocacy support at medical assessments, benefit tribunals

The primary activity is to maintain the work of a local church in the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with its Basis of Faith, in the area of Southport. The charity also operates through its members in other areas, including missionary activity overseas. The charity also carries out other charitable purposes such as the relief of the poor but these are not the primary activity.
