We provide Chaplaincy and Listening Services for people in workplaces and community situations of all descriptions across South Yorkshire, particularly but not exclusively supporting people through the difficulties of life situations. We also deliver training on various aspects of listening and support to volunteers, charities and other organisations.

The charitable objects are primarily focused on the advancement of religion, which is recognised as acharitable purpose having public benefit. All regular public worship is provided free of charge and open to all.

Hollinsend Pre-School offers a nursery for children from the age 2 to 4 plus with fully supervised staff.

Thurgoland Childcare offer full and part time childcare 50 weeks of the year for those children aged 6 weeks to 11 years old. Firth Heritage is a city park and is a the heart of the local community and is well used. It has an active friends group who meet on a six weekly cycle to organise community based activities and events within the park.

Saving lives in wild and remote places

Grants are made to other charitable or appropriately constituted bodies in response to specific written applications. Policy favours, but not exclusively, initiatives that benefit communities that are linked in some reasonably direct way to the Fitzwilliam Estates in Cambridgeshire and Yorkshire or the Naylor-Leyland Estate near Ruthin. Grants tend to be one off, not merely for annual expenses.

Yorkshire Youth and Music is a Charity offering young people the opportuntity to learn about, and make, music. Our primary aim is to encourage access for and participation by young people in the region who have no other opportunity. We do this by working in partnership across Yorkshire, using and training inspirational musicians.

We support & help those affected by conflict so they are able to use their experience in a positive way to help prevent violence in their communities & beyond.We are the only UK organisation which supports victims & survivors of political violence, conflict and acts of terror through the provision of learning, exploring the causes & effects of conflict & its resolution through non-violent means.

Pastoral work, including visiting the sick and the bereaved and promoting the whole mission of the Church through activities for youth clubs, senior citizens, parents and toddlers and other special need groups. Development of sustainable projects for children in crisis, especially girls, in Sri Lanka and Nepal through local partners. Protection and support of children by strengthening families to prevent abandonment. Reunification of siblings and reintegration with family to break the cycle of institutionalisation. Access to quality education for the most vulnerable children to unlock potential.

Skippko aims to transform lives and empower people through exciting and innovative creative arts projects. We bring people together through workshop programmes, events, exhibitions and training. Our arts workers act as group facilitators, creating a piece of group artwork to increase people's confidence, skills and sense of self worth and to allow them to learn from each other.

We provide specialist outreach service to an extremely socially isolated and vulnerable group of women - street sex workers. Our aim is to support our clients to look after themselves, access mainstream services and lead normal lives. A contribution to the provision of healthcare is fundamentally at the core of our work. We also support women whilst in Newhall prison and also upon their release.

We are hosting a range of projects and programmes in its impressively large building including children education projects , Healthy Lifestyles Project for the elderly, support for people suffering from mental health problems, and a core Women's Group. There is very low-cost gym usage for the public.

The charity's activities are the donation of grants within Sheffield , Rotherham , Barnsley and North East Derbyshire to medical, religious, educational and other institutions that the trustees see fit with applications which demonstrate significant community enhancement encouraged.

Public Benefit with Rapid Relief Team

Provision of convalescent facilities to persons who are or have been employed in the coal industry, or allied activities, within Yorkshire and their wives, husbands, and dependant relatives and also widows, widowers and necessitous relatives of deceased persons (qualifying as above). The charity currently operates a convalescent home - Lynwood - in Scarborough.

The Sheffield Parent Carer Forum is a parent-run charity which brings together families with disabled children and young people (aged 0-25) in Sheffield to provide mutual support, exchange information and influence policy.
