LAARC provides a generalist advice and advocacy service to residents in the Walkley ward and surrounding areas of Sheffield. The service has open half-day advice sessions for individuals at five local sites each week. Advice is also available by appointment, telephone and by home visits.

Providing free and confidential information,advice and guidance,benefiting the community of Chapelgreen in the City of Sheffield and adjoining areas. Organise and undertake relevant research work.Work with relevant institutions and organisations to secure the widest range of services that best matches the needs of its client population,obtain monies through grants and donations.

Provide the police with an underground search and rescue service: DCRO is the closest organisation for the following police force areas - Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire (part), Derbyshire, Greater Manchester (part), Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire (part) and Warwickshire.

The aims of the charity are to encourage and assist local community responsibility and participation in projects to improve the quality of life in Burngreave.

Religious Activities

The charity provides recreational football for girls in Doncaster and the surrounding areas.We aim to provide this service in a safe and unthreatening environment, by ensuring that all coaches are fully trained in the area they work in.The girls compete in the Sheffield and Hallamshire county girls league.

The Redbrik Foundation was established in April 2020 to raise funds and award grants to other charitable causes in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, primarily focusing on care of the young and elderly.

The general objective of this charity is relief of those in need in the old Ecclesall township. Modest grants are offered to the old and needy in the Ecclesall Bierlow area.Selection of beneficiaries is made by Sheffield City Council by a letter of invitation to attend the annual distribution. This usually takes place in December each year.

HOPE Community Allotment's main activity involves running four allotment plots where adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical or mental ill-health, isolation, long-term unemployment and associated issues engage in a wide range of gardening activities, help with the maintenance our plots and grow organic fruit and vegetables.

Stannington Community Association exists to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Stannington area by providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving life for said inhabitants. This is done by managing and maintaining a community centre.

The charity is a scout group within the Scout Association. It provides an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training of children, youths & young adults. This scheme is based on the scout promise and law and is guided by adult leadership.

We are an Associate Library completely run by volunteers. We have a number of activities ie a knit and natter group, a golden oldie coffee morning, toddlers story time, a mental health group and a Russian speaking group who all have weekly meetings in the library.

Castle Asian Community Trust has recently organised community cohesion events where all section of the community were actively engaged especially the young people. The trust is activley seeking to source funds to develop premises in order to engage the community in more positive action activities and events.

Fund raising and hands-on assistance with charitable and social aims

The charity provides and maintains a community hall for education, health or other leisure-time activity in the interests of the social welfare of residents in Sheffield and of the local community in particular.

To assist young people aged between 10 and 25 years who are resident in, or near the Diocese of Sheffield, to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capabilities, so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and so that their conditions of life may be improved. CLAWAR aims to widen robot application domains for the public benefit by identifying and leading keys initiatives (both nationally and internationally) that are able to address global concerns for robotics. The current issues identified are the lack of safety standards for service robots and poor interaction between the robot research community and the robot standardisation community.

The advancement of the musical education of young people. To increase their knowledge, understanding and love of music, their ability to develop musically and to give them the opportunity to perform to the most advanced standard of which they are capable.

Scout group providing a service for local young people from the age of 6 years onwards.Activities include camping, climbing, cooking, sports. Our Headquarters is also available to the community for their use. Groups using the facilities include a Dog Club, Weight Watchers, Yoga, and Karate.
