CULMINGTON VILLAGE HALL PROVIDES BUILDING, FACILITIES AND OPEN SPACE FOR GENERAL CHARITABLE , AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC

Provides safety and social awareness training for up to 1500 ten year old children a year from 50 schools in the Shrewsbury and Oswestry area. Children of all abilities attend an annual event during the first two weeks in June. The appropriate specialists provide 14 scenarios which include; internet safety, cyber bullying, drugs and alcohol awareness, safety in and away from the home, etc.

To fund equipment and services for the relief of the sick in Chirk community hospital and by the community nurses, not funded by the North East Wales NHS Trust.

THE CHARITY MAKES GRANTS TO TO ORGANISATIONS WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. CURRENTLY THE BENEFICIARIES INCLUDE YOUNG PEOPLE TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS AND THE SICK AND NEEDY

Provide grants to individuals and organisations.

To support a goat breeding project and village goat improvement schemes in Uganda through advice, training, research and funding. To support the vocational training of vulnerable Ugandan young people through funding and supervision. To support environmental projects in Uganda and the UK. To promote awareness in the UK of world food and farming issues.

A NUMBER OF GROUPS MEET REGULARLY, USUALLY WEEKLY, AND THE HALL IS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE ON A ONE OFF BASIS. A LICENSED BAR IS OPEN 3-5 EVENINGS A WEEK.A NUMBER OF EVENTS ARE ORGANISED BY THE TRUSTEES TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE HALL.

THE FUNDS ARE GRANTED TO THE CHURCH PCC FOR ADMINISTRATION FOR SPECIFIC PROJECTS. THE TRUST IS SECULAR AND INDEPENDENT
