Training School/Child Psychotherapy

A community and healthy living centre providing services in arts & crafts, befriending, complementary therapies, creche, day care, health & exercise, IT & educational classes, leisure activities, information & advice on services for older people, community transport, support advice & health groups, restaurant, volunteering opportunities, walking for health schemes and youth activities.

(1) The holding of an annual agricultural show. (2) Hiring of the showground for events.

We want a better life for people with experience of mental distress so they can live full lives and play their part in society. We work with people in a variety of ways and settings to help overcome barriers to engaging in the community and to encourage them to move forward to achieving their potential and aspirations.

We develop and deliver practical solutions to rural problems that maintain the well-being of individuals and communities in Shropshire. We help prevent rural isolation and loneliness and enable access to economic and community activity. We support community and voluntary organisations to enable them to improve the quality of life for people in Shropshire and influence policy makers on rural issues

The purposes of the Club are to promote and provide facilities for several amateur sport including bowls, cricket, football in Allscott, Telford and community participation in the same.

Shropshire Supports Refugees exists to assist and support refugees settled in the Shropshire area. SSR provides a range of services, goods, support and advice including ESOL and leisure and recreation activities for the families. We provide a support network and facilitate helping to create the community networks necessary to live happy, independent lives.

The charity continues to fulfil the requirements of its primary objective, being the promotion of horticultural education. This has been achieved by organising the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show, organising lectures on horticultural events, supporting, through the Percy Thrower Bursary the Young Horticulturist of the Year competition and by making charitable donations.

Grow Cook Learn is a charity based at and managing the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Our Vision is to develop an education and training centre for food-related skills, a visitor attraction linking food, history and landscape in the Shropshire Hills and a leisure resource for visitors and local residents."

Provision of gymnastics in Telford and surrounding area

Provision of a service of Arts Therapies (Art, Drama, Dance Movement, Music and Play Therapies) and Community Arts in Health facilities for clients of all ages and needs. To act as a Resource/Teaching Centre for training, education and support of professionals and carers, at national/inter-national levels. To support Research in Arts Therapies.

Working in the field of Mental Health. Offering direct support to people in crisis, suicide prevention, outreach and advocacy, support for families of those suffering from poor mental health as well as friends and colleagues. Group work, peer support, talks and lectures to lower the stigma surrounding mental health. Advice and signposting. Promotion of Mental Health.

Wem Playmates Nursery is located in the middle of Wem and provides a service to pre-school children aged 2-5 years at a reasonable cost so that all the pre-school children of Wem and the surrounding areas can have an opportunity to have a good educational start to life.

To oversee, support and encourage 20 local Churches and Local Ecumencial Partnerships in fulfilling their aims by providing:a mission policy so that work can be developed and reviewed;full-time ministry personnel to support and enable that work;a Quarterly Plan of Services so that worship is available for all people;training for local volunteers;grants for property development.

Significant activitiesThe organisation offers play, education, care facilities, training courses and encourages the study of the needs of children and their families and promote public interest in and recognition of their needs. It instigates and adheres to the aims and objects of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and follows the recommendations of the National Curriculum.

By promoting community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Shropshire by organising, providing and assisting in the organisation or provision of facilities for playing sports - in particular cricket. We are committed to supporting young people to live healthy, happy and successful lives by improving their physical and mental health

Our circuit is the main focus for mission to the communities we serve through our local churches. Our aims are tied in with the Methodist Church in Great Britain and the main one is the advancement of the Christian Faith through the witness and worship of all our members. We do this in accordance with the doctrines, standards and disciplines of the Methodist Church.

The schools ethos is to cater for as many children from as wide a social background as is possible. The relatively low fee structure reflects this. The school has no selective entry policy. The school supports some children who could not otherwise afford full fees. The school supports the local community by allowing groups eg church groups - use of the hall.

We currently offer the following services - residential care, and day care.

Run Cinematic, Theatrical & Arts entertainment and provide facilities to local voluntary organisations to run similar events and to provide a community centre.

The Cart Shed uses the natural environment to offer opportunities to try something new, improve well-being, find friendships and a place of calm. Based in Herefordshire our activities which include coppicing, coppice crafts and horticulture lend themselves to enabling individuals to explore ways to overcome and accept episodes in their lives they find difficult to manage.
