We are a grant making Charity supporting projects seeking to alleviate poverty and bring Christian teaching to families and children in South Africa, India & other deprived areas of the world. We also support projects which alleviate loneliness in the elderly, disabled and socially isolated locally and within the wider UK and bring Christian companionship and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

To organise and promote the traditional Carnival Procession held annually in November, the annual Carnival Concert held annually in early October, the traditional Squibbing display held after the carnival procession and fund raising in furtherance of the above. All these events take place in Bridgwater, Somerset.

The SWBA is an umbrella body for many of the Baptist Churches in the South West. SWBA is largely a service organisation, which means that much of our work is "responsive" - meeting the practical needs of our member churches. These are very wide-ranging. In addition, we also undertake an element of more strategic work.

Digital and media film development agency: community media centre; open to public three days per week for facilities, equipment and tuition; offering a wide range of film and digital media services to the public either free of charge or at affordable rates; running training courses; working with hard to reach groups; working with local schools and colleges and community groups

Focus Counselling is able to deliver a professional counselling service provided by qualified and skilled counsellors. It is able to offer support to adults and children suffering from depression, eating disorders, abuse, relationship problems, bereavement and a wide range of life crises.It is our aim to alleviate despair and suffering without religious, sexual or racial prejudice.

The Charity's objectives are to promote the general advancement of agricultural forestry and horticulture through providing exhibitions, technical education and scientific investigations and other such means. This is achieved mainly through the annual one day show, this provides education and training in all aspects of farming, cultivation and management of land and allied trades.

THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS TO BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING CARE AND SHELTER AND VETERINARY ATTENTION FOR STRAY,ABANDONED AND NEGLECTED ANIMALS FOLLOWED BY A REHOMING PROCESS.

The charity aims to benefit the public by promoting the prevention of drug misuse and supporting those suffering from or at risk of suffering from drug and alcohol misuse. A range of services are provided including adult, young peoples and aftercare services which address the potential problems related to substance misuse. Training is provided to accredited standards.

To provide a Community based low cost Counseling service for those who seek relief from emotional difficulties and mental health issues.

The charity trades under the name Victoria Park Community CentreThe Community Centre operates in the Victoria and Newtown area of Bridgwater Somerset, it manages a site consisting of the community centre, medical centre, childrens centre, nursery and pharmacy.The community centre hires out its rooms to local peolpe and organisations and is also home to 3 local charities

The aim of Homemaker is to prevent homelessness and promote independence. The services we currently provide cover Devon, Plymouth, Torbay and Somerset. Our services are usually for people who are at risk of losing their home or are in financial distress and include money advice, budgeting, debt advice, advocacy and tenancy sustainment. We also provide services to reduce re-offending in Devon.

Agricultural Shows and educational events

We train the unemployed in our bike workshops to help them gain the skills and self-confidence needed to find paid work. We improve well-being with purposeful activities that raise self-esteem and encourage social interaction. We care for the environment and enable our community to access a sustainable mode of transport with refurbished bicycles. We are based in Somerset.

PROVIDING OR ASSISTING THE PROVISION OF SPECIAL BENEFITS, GRANTS AND SCOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES AND PROMOTING EDUCATION

The principle activity of the Charity is the holding of an annual agricultural show in Honiton, to promote agriculture, and other trades, crafts and professions associated with it. There are farm competitions during the year.

The Trustees meet four times a year to consider applications for financial assistance from individuals and organisations within a 5 mile radius of the church of St John the Baptist, Midsomer Norton.They make grants as they deem appropriate.

The Trust aims to keep alive the history and importance of the Somerset & Dorset Railway and its predecessor companies, through the preservation, custodianship, display and interpretation of material evidence. Furthermore to promote and facilitate public understanding of the significance of the Somerset & Dorset Railway as a major cross country rail route.

Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy provides low cost professional counselling in Frome and the surrounding area in Bath, Bristol and Street. We also provide diploma level psychodynamic counselling training and post graduate psychotherapy training in Frome.
