We are a non-auditioning choir of around 140 adults from Sherborne and the surrounding area. We give one major annual performance in Sherborne Abbey as part of Sherborne Abbey Festival and also hold open workshops during the year.

We promote community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for rowing. We welcome rowers of all ages and abilities. We provide our members with the opportunity to row recreationally to keep fit and also to row competitively if they wish. We provide free coaching for members. We are the only rowing club covering West Somerset, Exmoor and parts of Devon.

We organise a number of events supported by pupils, parents, families and friends to raise money primarily to purchase/improve school equipment. Events such as discos, fun days, bingo, quizzes, cake sales

ACCOMMODATION/HOUSING

To provide a meeting room for any meetings or social gatherings, and toilet facilities for the local church

We manage and maintain the Village Hall in the Parish of Otterhampton for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish and surrounding area. Providing facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals, who have need of such facilities, or for the Public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants.

To provide education to retired and semi-retired persons within the Glastonbury and Street area.

Our Village Hall is for the use of anyone who needs a space for recreational purposes. We are in a small, rural community with population who have diverse needs. The Hall is used by older members of the community, young people, various groups and a place for anyone needing to hire a space foe meetings. It is the only public building in our small rural parish.

Religious activities and accomodation

To advance the education of the public in the history and development of cricket by establishing and operating a museum for the permanent exhibition and presentation of education and/or historic value and particularly in regard to the Somerset County Cricket Club.

To enable young people (8-25) to develop their Christian faith through teaching, worship and fun in a residential setting. This can be for a weekend or a week or for those 16 and over, on a year out programme.

Working with socially excluded groups to use the Arts as a tool for personal and community development.

Promoting road safety to and for motorcyclists coupled with the provision to Devon's motorcycling community of practical coaching to an Advanced riding standard (in conjunction with, for example, the Institute of Advanced Motorists)including the maintenance of a club for local motorcycling members of the IAM aimed at maintaining and refreshing their safety awareness and advanced riding skills.

The charity provides a centre in the Bristol area for members of the public to learn and practice Zen meditation and to study the teaching and practice of Soto Zen Buddhism.

Provides building/facilities/open space.

Provide support to activities which lead to the reduction of crime.

Provision of equipment and assistance to sufferers of spinal cord injury and to the Duke of Cornwall's Spinal Treatment Centre at Salisbury District Hospital

Recieving donations in lieu of flowers at funerals, organising annual fetes, running a charity shop and sweet trolley. Proceeds are used to donate equipment and furnishings to Paulton Memorial Hospital for the aid and treatment of patients.

Maintain a community facility for indoor and outdoor activities which are relevant to a small rural parish. Local organisations have preferential hire rates.

Assistance for disability, hardship and nature conservation causes.
