Church of England church activities serving the community.We are part of the established Church in England and our Parish contains two churches - Holy Trinity Kingswood, Church of the Ascension. We are part of the Diocese of Bristol which in turn reports to the central Church of England.

Provide a sessional pre-school.

Provide, hold ownership and manage a childrens playground, playing fields, recreation grounds, recreational facilities or other Property for the benefit of both the community of the parish of Wickwar, South Gloucestershire and surrounding area.

Teaching Buddhist meditation and practice to all. Providing place of worship to Buddhists.

Kingswood Community Centre is a local community centre established in 1946 to provide the people of Kingswood and the surrounding area with a place to participate in activities and to provide accommodation for groups/people to hire and meet and share interests.

The main objective of the Charity is to promote the culture and philosophy of the Hindu faith to its members and the community at large.Main activities are:* Organisation of events based around religious festivals* Raising funds and donations from the members and the community at large for the upkeep of the charity* work with schools to improve understanding of Hindu culture & faith

THE CHARITY AWARDS GRANTS TO STUDENTS HAVE ATTENDED CHIPPING SODBURY SCHOOL FOR MORE THAN TWO ACADEMIC YEARS AND WHO ARE IN FULL TIME EDUCATION BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18YRS AND 25YRSIT ALSO AWARDS MONIES TO CHIPPING SODBURY SCHOOL FOR ITEMS WHICH ARE NOT PROVIDED BY THE LEA

Pre-school Playgroup

A) TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY FACILITIES FOR THE DAILY CARE, RECREATION AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN DURING OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS ON THE STANBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL SITE; ANDB) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF PERSONS IN THE PROVISION OF SUCH CARE, EDUCATION AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES.

Bristol City of Sanctuary works with organisations and individuals in Bristol to take practical activities to promote welcome and safety for all, including people seeking sanctuary fleeing from war, violence and persecution.

Hawkesbury Upton Village Hall is an excellent, well equipped, versatile venue which is used extensively by local organisations for a wide variety of activities. It is also available for private hire.

Barn Owl Conservation. Barn Owl & bird of prey rescue, rehabilitation and welfare. Educating the general public, schools, young conservationists etc in the life and conservation of owls and birds of prey through visits, talks and flying activites.

Provision of housing for people in housing need aged 50 or over.The housing is provided in 12 almshouse cottage homes in Churchill, North Somerset.Preference is given to applicants in financial need and from, or with, connections with this area.

Education - Learning through play

Based in Bristol, the CIO aims to advance education in the arts among adults with a learning disability through the provision of workshops, activities and events designed to support and empower them to explore their artistic potential, We create opportunities for them to share there work with the public through exhibitions and events.

The Charity acts as an alternative learning resource providing a service to young people who are referred by local schools as these young people have been excluded from mainstream education and are given respite education and specialist activities as a platform to re-engage and re-enthuse them. An evening Youth club is run for local young people. There are activities for Elderly Disabled People.

To propagate the Christian faith by preaching, teaching and helping to meet community needs at home and overseas. By provision of financial and human resources for welfare and education in a Christian context.

Manorbrook out of School Club provides the parents and carers of children attending Manorbrook School with high quality, affordable wraparound care which enables children to thrive.

Bulgarian Sunday School with classes in Cheltenham, Bristol and Newcastle. We are a Community Centre offering facilites to a variety of regular user groups and sports clubs. We also hire out small rooms for meetinga and training courses and our large halls for parties. We have a Social Club as part of the premises providing a licensed bar to members and catering services.

Bristol Older People's Forum is a member-led organisation (circa 3000 members). Our aims are shaped around support, empowerment and challenging ageism. We enable older people to have a direct say in policy and decision-making around identified priorities including: isolation and loneliness and mental and physical well-being. ACTIVITIES include: Open Forums, Newsletters, Workshops and Research.
