Area of operation - Northwest Bristol and South Gloucestershire.We meet monthly at Shirehampton Golf Club in Bristol.We are a group of men and women over the age of 21, who like to raise money for charitywhilst having fun in doing so, our main fundraiser is a Carol Float with which we tour thestreets in the area.

The declared objectives of the Society are to promote science and art through photography and in particular:1. To arrange lectures and demonstrations2. To promote and sponsor competitions and exhibitions3. To maintain a permanent collection of the outstanding work of members

NB4U befriend 'lifer' Prisoners in local prisons. The Co-Founders and volunteers visit 10 prisoners every month We accompany them on ROTL's and Home Leaves. We attend Parole Hearings and on release meet them 'at the gate' and take them to their Hostels providing essential items. Our motto is 'Befriending Prisoners, mentoring Ex-Offenders so they NEVER re-offend again' and it works!

Operation and maintenance of Oldbury on Severn War Memorial Hall.

Communion each Sunday - usually incorporates a Bible Talk. Sunday School most Sundays during School terms Target age 4 yrs and older. Youth Group - fortnightly on Fridays during school terms. Blackhorse Sports & Community Association maintain for the benefit of all neighbours and local residents, Blackhorse Playing Fields as an open space, allowing all neighbours and the wider local community to regularly use the playing fields and MUGA, for recreational activities. The Pavilion and hall are maintained and hired for use to the local community for either local groups or keep fit groups

LOCAL MUSEUM RUN BY VOLUNTEERS. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON 3 DAYS A WEEK. COVERS THORNBURY TOWN AND SURROUNDING DISTRICT. CONSERVES AND DISPLAYS ARTEFACTS OF LOCAL PROVENANCE. UNDERTAKES SOME RESEARCH. RUNS ONE ASSOCIATED GROUP: ARCHAEOLOGY. ORGANISES OCCASIONAL PUBLIC TALKS AND WALKS.

The promotion of healthy recreation and sports for children and young adults up to the age of 21 years old in Wiltshire and the neighbouring counties, by making grants and awards to individuals, community clubs and organisations.

Provision of quality:supportive:accessible advice & information to help vulnerable people resolve problems & improve their quality of life through the pro-active projects set up by services users & members. Helping disabled and vulnerable individuals access transport to help them become more active in their community and social lives.

The choir practice, promote and study music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of music by means of public performance.

The promotion of exclusively charitable purposes which are beneficial to the counties of Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire. This includes the advancement of education and training, arts culture and heritage, health, amateur sport, conservation of historic buildings, relief of poverty, improvement of community relations and social conditions.

To provide advice and information on welfare benefits, immigration, housing, education, employment, training, debts, health, finance, nationality, businesspassport and other areas as necessary. Also to provide advocacy for clients.To organise community events such as Independence Day, Eid Celebrations, International Mother Tongue Celebrations.

Almondsbury Tennis Club provides facilities for playing tennis and teaching tennis to all members of the community. It operates from Almondsbury Sports and Social Centre and provides outreach services at other venues, including local schools and community venues. It provides other ancillary sports and social activities to support its main aim.

For the public benefit, the relief and assistance of people in need in Bristol, and its surrounding suburbs, who may suffer the effect of homelessness by supplying them with, in particular but not exclusively by, food, clothing and related support. To provide assistance and advice to like-minded charitable groups, not limited by geography.

Support and encourage full-circle church bell ringing. Provide financial support to appropriate belfry restoration projects in affiliated churches.

The charity oversees the renovation, maintenance, display and operation of items in its collection at several heritage railways and centres. It raises funds for this purpose through donations, grants, steaming fees and other means. It further researches the history of items in its collection and makes this information available on its web site and other media channels.

Share Bristol provides a library of things service to the people of Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Our vision is that everybody shares, and we help them do this by providing hundreds of things for them to borrow at low cost through our charity. This helps the environment and household budgets, and promotes wellbeing through reducing clutter and enabling people to live life to the full.

Raising funds for the schools enhanced activities and trips. Providing material goods which will provide greater benefits to the school pupils.

Provides musical performances to the public and supports other charitable organisations in fund raising events.Offers the opportunity for any adult to learn to play a wind instrument in a friendly environment or invite people, who have not played for many years, to return to music. Additionally we are sometimes able to provide a loaned instruments

YOUTH ACTIVITIES

To advance the musical education of the public in the Barbershop/unaccompanied 4-part Harmony style (chorus or small groups) especially youth members . To provide singing education at weekly rehearsals and run public 'Learn to Sing' courses. To showcase the Charity's work in concerts and shows at public venues. To further any purpose recognised as Exclusively Charitable.

To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals

To foster relationships between parents, teachers and children involved within Tockington Manor School in order to fund raise to purchase extra learning items that enhance the environment of the school.

Advancing the education of the public by increasing knowledge and interest in all aspects of transport heritage and particularly in historic buses of the Bristol area. The charity has a collection of buses which it preserves, restores and maintains and uses for rallies and events to promote the transport heritage of the area.
