Thornbury Area youth Music provide group music making opportunities for the young people of Thornbury and surrounding areas.

We pick-up unwanted furniture and household items from the general public which would otherwise go to landfill and sell them on at a reasonable price to the general public.

Individually and collectively, ACFA members will be more effective and efficient in order to provide great advice services

U3A offers a programme of educational and leisure activities for retired people where members contribute their own experience, interests and enthusiasms actively, so that they learn from each other.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefits of inhabitants of Bristol and South Gloucestershire, by the provision and maintenance of facilities and coaching for playing tennis. Tennis is played outdoors, and a skill which can be played at all ages and abilities.

The Charity provides affordable homes for elderly people

We raise money for the" Wings Appeal "which helps the RAF family ,Veterans and their dependants.Our facilities allow veterans to meet is a safe place and meet up with other veterans.

Activities include the practice and proclamation of the Christian faith through corporate worship and preaching. Prayer and study in small groups. Visiting and caring for the elderly, sick and those in need. Christian education of children through family activities and school assemblies. Financial support of other Christian charities that bring relief to those in need in this country and overseas.

The MCCA owns and manages the Community Centre in Marshfield, a village between Bristol and Chippenham, mainly for the benefit of residents of Marshfield and other local villages.

The charity exists to maintain and improve the physical and mental wellbeing of the residents of Pucklechurch and surrounding areas. The charity operates and maintains the village hall to provide a range of activities including playgroup, short mat bowls, amateur dramatics, gardening club, folk dance, badminton, dog training, Zumba, fitness training , and others.

Generally, money raised will be distributed to local charities

To provide facilities for recreation and entertinment for local people. To maintain those buildings and facilities by fund raising activities within the rules and spirit of the Trust Deed.

Bristol Noise inspires and equips churches and Christians to show God's love in practical ways to their communities. We mobilise volunteers, host events and provide resourcing to facilitate practical social action, motivated by the Christian faith. We work with churches and other local agencies to bring lasting positive impact to individuals and communities across Bristol.

WAGS Retired Police Dog Charity is an independent charity set up to help the retired Police Dogs from Wiltshire, Avon, Gloucestershire and Somerset Police. WAGS provides financial assistance in emergency situations where a large vets bill may mean a decision is made about the dogs future based on cost. We are hoping with WAGS help any decisions are based only on the dogs welfare needs.

Support people to withdraw safely from prescription drug dependence of benzodiazepines (tranquillisers), Z drugs, pain killers and other similar drugs, prescribed or bought illicitly, through a wrap-around service of one to one therapy, group therapy, advocacy, a telephone support service, knowledge sharing with health professionals.

Supporting Local community, holding village events.

Provides musical performances to the public and supports other charitable organisations in fund raising events. Offers the opportunity for any adult to learn to play a wind instrument in a band environment or invites people who have not played a wind instrument for many years to return to music. The charity is sometimes able to provide wind instruments on loan.

Local Scout Group

The charity continues to raise funds to help underprivileged children by means of social events, auctions, raffles & donations. The main beneficiaries are individual needy children and schools.

Bath Opera members live within travelling distance to the city of Bath and wish to sing in opera or help put on operatic productions. The amateur society puts on a fully staged production at the end of February and a smaller scale opera on a summer tour in June and July.
