We organise events to raise money for St Johns Mead Primary School such as:-bingo nights, childrens and family discos, sponsored events, summer and Christmas fayres, quiz nights and so on. The profit we make on our activities goes to enhance the educational experience of pupils at the school, now and in the future.

Provide community facilities for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Wickwar in the District of South Gloucestershire and the Community without distinction of political religious or other opinions including use for meetings lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupations with the object of improving their condition of life.

Fund raising events held at school eg. Christmas and Summer Fair, games nights childrens discos and sponsored events etc.

Enhance the Education of children in the school. With particular attention to art/culture, sports/recreation and environment/conservation/heritage. To promote the effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school. Engage in activities or provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

THE PARAGON CONCERT SOCIETYOFFERS FINANCIAL SUPPORTTO PERFORMANCES BY ORCHESTRAS GROUPS AND CHOIRS PERFORMING CLASSICAL MUSIC IN BRISTOL BATH SOUTH GLOUS AND N SOMERSET.WE ALSO SUPPORT MUSIC EDUCATION PROJECTS AIMED AT YOUNG PEOPLE. THE SOCIETY DOES NOT GIVE GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS

Frome Town Youth Band was formed in 1997 to provide a facility for people of all ages to learn and perform music in and around the local community.From just a handful of young people the band has grown to current membership level of around 40 members of all ages.We are now called Frome Town Band

To foster an appreciation of the art and science of music by the presentation of collaborative projects. The group endeavours to offer music rarely performed due to the scale required using very large groups of singers and orchestral players. Workshops, concerts and associated activities will be offered involving a wide spectrum of choral societies.

To share the culture, practices and philosophy of Bhakti yoga.

We are the PTA for our primary school. We raise funds to provide things for school that are not otherwise funded.

Parent Teachers Association

Providing a refurbished community centre for accessible rental to create a safe, welcoming venue for leisure and learning; strengthening our community. All rentals have met our charitable objects. To date the rentals have included: Pre School, Faith Group, Voluntary organisation celebrating volunteering, Board meetings and Community events.

Provide a meeting place for local activities e.g. Dancing (all types), Karate, Whist, Towns Women's Guild, Senior Citizens and Children's Parties

"Bosom Buddies" is an entirely voluntary support group established to help patients and their families cope with the psychological and everyday consequences of breast cancer. We also raise monies to fund the group, support our fellow sufferers and buy valuable pieces of equipment for use within the Bristol Breast Unit, Bristol Oncology and Avon Breast Screening.

Running of the Wick Sports Ground

The Charity provides financial support from income received from funds held to benefit the Avon Battalion Boys' Brigade Annual Camp under the terms of the trust deed dated 22 June 1934.

Provision of Immediate Medical Care

Parent teacher association for Crossways Schools, Thornbury. We organise social opportunities for children, families and staff to interact outside the school day, forging stronger links between home and school as well as raising money to benefit the children and their school environment.

Communion each Sunday - usually incorporates a Bible Talk. Sunday School most Sundays during School terms Target age 4 yrs and older. Youth Group - fortnightly on Fridays during school terms. Organise and promote monthly rider training activities under the IAM RoadSmart advanced rider course.Organise other rider development opportunities for members beyond the initial course.Hold bi-monthly group committee meetings.Organise & attend promotional activities to further the aims of the Group and IAM RoadSmart- to which we are affiliated & partner with local road safety organisations.

Supporting family doctors(and/or their families) who work or have worked in Avon.

Lightbox aims to discover and present stories that are untold or overlooked. Over the last five years we have produced revivals of overlooked tales or devised shows from real 'untold' stories discovered during community outreach projects and workshops, demonstrating our commitment to creating inspiring, high quality and pertinent theatre that creates a sense of connection and alleviates isolation.
