The Brigade provides a search and rescue back-up to HM Coastguard on a 24-hour, 365 days call-out system working in conjunction with RNLI Lifeboats and the main emergency services to help people in distress on and around the coast using SAR rescue equipment including special Land Rover fitted with a full range of search and rescue equipment and first aid facilities.

The Project operates in the west area of Sunderland, providing a range of activities/facilities and services to the Community. These include Carer and Toddler Groups, groups for older people, community garden, wellness and fitness facilities, disabled volunteer scheme, A690 young people's work, stroke rehabilitation programme, art and craft groups.

The Sunday for Sammy Trust raises funds via concerts and DVD sales which it distributes as grants to performers at the outset of their career who need financial assistance for training, fees, equipment etc.

The team was formed back in the 1970s as a North of Tyne Local Education Authority team in response to an increase in the number of incidents occurring on the hills and fells of Northumbria as outdoor activities such as climbing and hill walking grew in popularity. It became the North of Tyne Search & Rescue Team in the early 80s and more recently became the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team

Tyneside Outdoors provides primarily young people with the opportunity to learn and explore in the outdoors. Using a Community Development approach, we engage disadvantaged young people in regular activities that build their confidence and skills, provide them with new opportunities and help them to appreciate the natural world.

PROVIDE A CENTRAL POINT FOR PEOPLE TO MEET IN WEST SHIELDS AND PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES THAT WILL INCREASE THEIR WELL BEING

To support BAME refugees and asylum seekers (mainly from Sudan, Syria, Kuwait, Iran, etc) and their wives with young children who are mainly economically inactive, unemployed or short-term unemployed.

Promotion of health, the relief of poverty, advancement of training and social and recreational activities, provision of convalescence for the relief of sickness of beneficiaries.

We play a unique role in educating women and enabling them to build new skills, to take part in wide ranging activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

A drop in centre for people with Multiple Sclerosis, their family and carers. We aim to help them cope with the affects of this disability through therapies, exercise and listening

We work with LGBTQ plus people seeking asylum and those who have been granted leave to remain but are unsettled. Based in Newcastle, we cover the North East region. We provide social opportunities where members can meet safely and enjoy each other's company. We work one-to-one with each member helping to provide detailed case information.

The activites of the charity are to advance, for the public benefit, the education (including social, physical, spiritual and mental development) of young people in the North East of England by making grants to other charities, ministries and organisations.

The object of the Trust is the payment of donations to such charitable bodies or institutions as the trustees may in their absolute discretion from time to time determine.

The charity functions via a number of subsidiary meeting who report to the church business meeting. All departments are focused on the propagation of the Gospel of Christ and the winning of souls for the extension of his Kingdom. The aim of the Centre is to campaign against Unemployment and to seek to improve the circumstances and life chances of Unemployed people within the Tyne and Wear area. Our objectives are to provide Information, Advice and Guidance in furtherance of our aims in particular with respect to supporting claimants who are in contact with the Welfare Benefits Services.

The Shirley Community Chaplaincy( North East) helps,supports and encourages ex-offenders to integrate successfully back into society. We offer counselling,practical support and a range of activities to assist ex- offenders to make the transition out of prison.Activities include; camping,fishing, walking and visits to places of interest. Ex- offenders are encouraged to train as peer mentors.

The fund assists serving and retired officers and their partners in times of need. As well as providing financial support by way of grants or interest free loans to those suffering hardship, we also cover out-of-pocket expenses incurred in using convalescent homes which provide a range of therapies to assist in the rehabilitation of officers.

Roots for Change UK delivers community-led support through charity shops, food provision, ESOL, wellbeing, cultural and sports activities. We also provide vocational training and structured volunteering opportunities, enabling individuals to build skills, gain experience, and progress with confidence in a safe, inclusive environment.
