We endeavour to alleviate poverty and deprivation within older communities and change negative attitudes of older people. We work in partnership with similar organisations to improve government and local authority policy, including Health Care, Housing, Social Deprivation and Personal Financial issues. Our elderly volunteers give their time and energy and do all the work. We have no employees.

The CIO encourages its members to promote a wider knowledge of the educational and cultural importance of Bede and to support the values of scholarship and innovation as promoted by the Anglo Saxon monastery of Wearmouth/Jarow as continued today at the World According to Bede Museum or its successors known by any other name and/or to promote the legacy of the Venerable Bede generally.

The charity collects its investment income and distributes monies to charities and institution in accordance with its objects.

To advance the education of the children, young people, and adults involved with Brass Bands and develop the art of Brass Band music-making for the benefit of the general public, in particular within the counties of North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Cleveland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear, and Northumberland, by the provision and support of training and public performance of a range of works

The objects of the charity are to further in every way allowed by law the education and relief of deaf children without regard to race religion creed disability sex or family circumstance.

The Tyne Lifeboat Society supports local good causes on Tyneside that are involved with saving lives on the River Tyne and around the immediate coastline and also youth organisations with a marine context.Organisations that benefit include Volunteer Lifeguards, Volunteer Life Brigades, Sea Cadets, Sea Scouts and Marine Emergency Units.

To provide enrichment and leisure opportunities for the young people with Autism who attend Post 11 Autistic Centre at Jarrow School and their families

We provide music, information and visiting service to patients in hospital community as well as promoting good health and advice.

PROVIDING DIETARY & ORAL HEALTH EDUCATION SESSIONS FOR CHILDREN AGED PRE-SCHOOL TO THE AGE OF 11. THE SESSIONS WILL COVER UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF GOOD DENTAL HEALTH; EDUCATING CHILDREN ON WHAT CAUSES TOOTH DECAY; ENCOURAGING DAILY DENTAL CARE. THE SESSIONS WILL USE A MIX OF GAMES, COLOURING SHEETS, LEARNING DENTAL HEALTH VOCABULARY, DISCUSSING FOODS AND CAUSES OF DENTAL DECAY.

AWD Response North East is a Charitable organisation that provides emergency services during extreme weather conditions. They are dedicated to helping people who are stranded, delivering food and water to remote areas, and assisting with road closures. Their service is free, and they prioritize those who are in the greatest need of assistance.

Provide grants to individuals and organisations for the advancement of education and relief of hardship of children and young people living in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Durham.

Multi Cultural Integration Centre receives funding to develop different projects involving people from a variety of social, economic and cultural backgrounds in order to raise cultural awareness and to expose ways in which racism and discrimination exclude and harm ethnic communities.
