The Newcastle Rugby Foundation work across the North East and Cumbria to make rugby the positive difference that changes lives for good.

To relieve the suffering and improve the condition of life of persons suffering from cancer in particular but not exclusively by the provision of transport for any person or persons suffering from cancer to attend hospital appointments and/or other appointments for treatment of, therapy for and/or other rehabilitation from their illness.

Our charity is a County Scout Council which operates in the County of Durham and the local authority areas of Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Darlington. We are responsible for the governance, delivery and support of Scouting in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association and we operate and manage an adventurous activity centre outside of Durham.

Based in the grounds of the John Marley Centre, in Scotswood, the charity offers a wide range of activities linked to sustainability issues and improving mental health and well-being. The programmes include: educational workshops, youth groups, older peoples services, volunteering and training. The charity is involved with a range of environmental and community based projects within the area.

Grant Giving

To advance the Christian religion by the provision of a house of retreat, primarily but not exclusively for members of the Churchof England who are resident in the Dioceses of Newcastle and Durham, which may also be used for any other charitable purpose which in the opinion of the trustee will maintain and strengthen the religious and educational life of its users.

Charitable funds received by the charity are accepted and held and administered as funds held on trust for purposes relating to the National Health Service in accordance with the National Health Service Act 1977 and the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 and these funds are held on trust by the corporate body.

Our Charity Activities include Sports & Recreation for Mother & Toddlers, Juniors, Seniors & the Elderly which include Football, Cricket, Netball, Five a side Football, Swimming for all ages, Ladies and Mens Bowls, Basketball, Model Aircraft Building and Flying, Outdoor Walkers, Boxing, Bridge and Several types of Dancing.

BSD Charitable Trust objectives are to advance education in the Jewish Faith; Promote research in the Jewish Faith and in particular Religious Jewish Education. Provide for relief of poverty.

THE CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION IMPROVES THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE NORTH EAST BY MAKING SERIOUS STUFF FUN. WE DEVELOP INNOVATION TO IMPROVE CHILDRENS HEALTH WITH A FOCUS ON EARLY YEARS, MENTAL HEALTH AND PHYSICAL HEALTH.

The purpose of the CIO is to promote the Christian faith through training men for the ministry. We also present public lectures, that are open to all, through a monthly Saturday morning course which aims to provide training to lay members of the wider Church. We are based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne City Centre.

The charity's principal activity during the period was to provide support and assistance to people who have suffered or are suffering from all forms of cancer by such means as the trustees consider fit.

We offer gender specific services to women with mental, physical and emotional issues who live or work in South Tyneside. We provide a broad based holistic approach offering individual and group support, personal development, Health & Wellbeing courses. The project offers provision in a safe and confidential environment.

Provision of education, training, support to adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities through the provision of workshop based employment together with horticultural activities and leisure activities taking place throughout the North East of England. The charity helps adults to regain mainstream employment and volunteering opportunities and provides support to aid recovery.

The Trust raises funds from individual donors, trust and foundations to support North East Museums achieve it's strategic vision of ensuring everyone has access to museum provision, are able to use this access and to value it for the significant and positive impact that it makes upon their lives.

From our purposely designed centre, we offer a range of support to families with disabled children or any additional needs. Activities include play clubs, dance classes, mother & toddler group, soft play, IT suite, sensory suite, sibling support, educational support, agriculture, small animal petting area, specialist holiday respite, specialist adapted cycles, crafts, volunteering opportunities.

STEPNEY BANK STABLES (SBS) IS AN INNER - CITY RIDING SCHOOL AND CHILDREN'S SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LOCATED IN NEWCASTLE. OUR MISSION IS TO ENHANCE THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE, AGED 8 -18, THROUGH INTERACTIONS WITH HORSES. SBS PROVIDES RIDING, ACTIVITIES AND SPECIFICALLY CHOSEN WORKSHOPS WHICH ENABLE YOUNG PEOPLE TO LEARN AND DEVELOP THE NECESSARY LIFE SKILLS TO BECOME THE VERY BEST THEY CAN BE.

Ners highlights the need to carry out further research in areas of communities' relations and issues of citizenship and the feeling of belonging. NERS has developed to meet the current government policies of dispersing asylum seekers to the various regions of the UK.
