We offer support to orphans with tuition fees. Educate and support farmer in increasing their crop yield. Supply clothing to the homeless and encourage social cohesion in less economically developed countries. Currently in Zambia we are helping with organic farming. We also support widows in setting up and running their own businesses.

Southwark Helping Hands Club meet regularly on a Wednesday evening at the Wade Tennants Association Hall in Bermondsey. At the club members are given the opportunity to develop various life skills, interacting with volunteer helpers and other club members. This is achieved throught the use of educational activities, using computers, art sessions, reading and personal development.

Beyond Sight Loss is a user-led charity addressing loneliness and social isolation of blind and partially sighted people in Tower Hamlets. Members meet to socialise and share information about inclusive activities, events and opportunities to improve health and wellbeing. Outings take place in accessible museums, parks, theatre and sporting events.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a national youth organisation for boys and girls aged 12 and 18 (with many units also having Junior Sea Cadets aged 10 and 12). It is open to all young people, regardless of race, religion or colour and draws its members from widely different backgrounds.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

The provision for and funding of practical help towards meeting the needs of children with disabilities and their families, with particular regard to funding in areas where NHS funding would not normally be available. The charity also supports research and training of professionals working on behalf of such families.

Our group of committed volunteers have been working hard to reach out to schools to ensure they know who we are and what we will be offering. The networking across the services has been vital to ensuring that Southwark Independent Voice in the forefront of professional's minds so they can refer parents to us. We meet families across the borough to ensure we can deliver activities that they want.

Gardening and growing vegetables in the community

The underpinning philosophy of Willing and Abel is 'See the one; love the one'. Although we cannot possibly cope with every needy child in the world, we can show love and practical help to the one that has been made known to us.We do this by helping to find, and usually fund, transport, pre-op care, operations, aftercare and education for each child/family, as the Trustees consider appropriate.
