The promotion of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation within Sri Lanka.The charity has a 3 year plan to:* build a home for 40 disadvantaged children.* construct a community/education centre.* provide for the ongoing running costs for supporting the children.

The main goal is to promote humane behaviour towards animals by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.

Light and Hope works toward helping and improving individual lives across the globe by supporting young people and women who are in need. Our aim is to alleviate poverty and aiming to make a difference to the lives of young people and women. To date the charity has assisted young people in the pursuit of their education in India and Sri Lanka.

The relief of poverty in Sri Lanka. Our main activities are in schools, where we sponsor children, repair classrooms, build and stock libraries, build and maintain computer centres.

The activity of the Children of Vanni is to enable children from Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lankato pursue further education in any field after passing A'Level or its equivalent. The course followed by thebeneficiary of a grant from the Trust may follow a course in any technical or academic subject, but thecourse must be located in India or Sri Lanka.

Visits are made to Sri Lanka and courses in Counselling Skills taught to teachers, pastors and nurses. Equipment for schools, nurseries and orphanages has been purchased. A Play therapy room has been built at an orphanage and care mothers have been trained to use this. Music and drama therapy as well as group and individual counselling sessions are used to help the children with emotional issues.

Maintaining and raising a fund for the relief of necessitous persons, whether or not members of or subscribers to the fund, who are or have been voting members of The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing, their spouses, widows, widowers, children and dependants and, in exceptional cases, for the relief of other persons who work or have worked in non-destructive testing.

Providing self-employment opportunities with start-up machinery and advice for families with talented children currently in education.Providing educational needs for children with special needs, providing educational support for children in need in rural schools, and for children after natural disasters to help getting back to school.

Anpu Sahotharar Illam provides food, accommodation, medicine, counselling, cloths, and spiritual & moral guidance for those children who have lost their parents or whose parents could not afford to provide them any form of schooling as well as their other needs.

Our main focus in 2023 is the running of our Inspire, Sport and Leadership programmes for young people in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Rwanda. This builds on our work in previous years building a network of volunteers to support these programmes. We also support sports coaching and individual student grants.

Helping internally dispaced people in Sri Lanka

Activities mostly in Sri Lanka to help who are suffering due to civil war. Includes financial help on primary and university education of deprived children. Relief of poverty for those who struggles to fulfil their basic needs by helping to start small vocation like poultry farm or raise cows to sell milk. Beneficiary selection should be recommended by local councillor and local advisory committee

The 2041 School charity works to advance the education of primary school children in the United Kingdom about Antarctica other protected areas of the world and the importance of their preservation and protection.

The sponsorship of the Meth Mihira special needs centre in Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Financing the centre and the Outreach and early intervention programme. Offering Education, social/life skillshealthcare/disability/nutrition to children and infants living in this impoverished area of Sri Lanka

Poliphonia is an UK based charity with the purpose of promoting the classical music of the Americas. We promote concerts in the UK with repertoire from composers from the Americas, sponsor young players interested in learning this repertoire, restore music still in manuscript form to facilitate performance and produce recordings and film of performances and educational content.
