The Sutton Trust Community Group is situated in the heart of Abbey Hulton in Stoke-on-Trent. Our core mission is to empower individuals to realise their full potential and become valued members of their communities. At the core of our work is the running of a thriving community centre and an on-site garden. In addition to our community garden, we also organise a range of community events.

Small grants to individuals living in the Sandwell, Staffordshire and Warwickshire area, for the relief of need or education. Requests will usually only be considered if received through an organisation such as CAB, or housing, social care or education bodies

Provision of facility for communal activities for the public of mainly the districts of Mile Oak and Fazeley, but subject to the proviso that the Management Committee be composed of five elected representatives over the age of 18 who reside within the Fazeley ward of Lichfield District and a co-opted member from each of the local organisations who use the hall on a regular basis.

Amenity society carrying out environmental work and encouraging the study of history, landscape and culture in the vicinity of Halesowen Abbey. Much work involves the enjoyment of the area by use of public rights of way system. The Trust helps others is understanding and appreciating the local environment and provides advice to local authorities and others.

To administer and manage the scheme as laid down by the Charity Commissioners for England and Wales. This was sealed by order of the board on the 14th day of January 1896, in the name of The Free School of Hannah and Mary Corbett.

Education and training of local young people in the Scouting Movement.

To advance the education of the pupils at Rosebank School, Barnton, specialising in the education of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Working to bring together youth organisations and leaders from churches and schools in Wolverhampton and meeting monthly to plan, network and support them. Running lunchtime groups for vulnerable students, offering drama groups to help youth and children develop singing, dancing and acting skills, running youth ministries and individual and group mentoring. Also pastoral support to some students.

Raising funds for the purchase of equipment to benefit the school in particular for improvement of the playground

THE AIM OF THE SCHEME IS TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND INJURY AND TO PROTECT HUMAN LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY OF ECCLESHALL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. THIS IS DONE BY THE PROVISION OF A FIRST AID AND FIRST RESPONSE SERVICE IN CASES OF ILLNESS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES, WHERE EVER THIS SUPPORT PROVIDES VALUE OVER AND ABOVE THAT OFFERED BY STATUTORY BODIES. IN ADDITION WE HAVE PLACED DEFIBS IN THE COMMUNITY

Fund raising activities for the benefit of children at Cheslyn Hay Primary School

The objective is to provide free or cheap emergency accommodation and nourishment to women or children who are suffering hardship due to breakdown in family relationships. Also to provide, education, training and support to enable them to access the employment market and become independent and self sufficient.

ALSO A VENUE FOR A VARIETY OF EVENTS AND ENTERTAINMENT BOTH FOR FUNDRAISING AND PRIVATE ACTIVITIES/OCCASIONS. CAPACITY FOR UPTO 200 WITH A LARGE STAGE, KITCHEN, SMALLER MEETING ROOM, PARKING AND OUTSIDE SPACE.

To keep a close watch on the condition and treatment of all buildings within the Conservation Area, Liaison with Planning Officers and Conservation Officer.To comment on all significant planning aplications in the remainder of the town.To maintain a Museum and Resource Centre.Encourage building owners/tenants to maintain buidlings in good conditionSupport tourism initiatives.
