The principal activity of the charity is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. The association aims to develop more extended relationships between staff, parents and friends, engage in activities which support the school and provide and assist in the provision of such facilities or items for education at the school not provided from statutory funds.

To advance the education of the public in order that they are equipped to commence or return to work. This will support those with high needs, NEETS, young mothers and mental health and emotional issues. The subjects covered are Hairdressing, Equine and Small Animal Care, Land Based Studies and Maths & English. To relieve poverty by assisting with developing social, mental and physical skills.

To Promote The Objects of the Riding For The Disabled Association Incorporating Carriage-driving, A Charity Registered under charity number 244108 by providing disabled people with the opportunity to ride and/or carriage drive to benefit their health and wellbeing in the Lichfield, Walsall and Tamworth area.

Aid the education of young people by raising of funds to enhance the facilities the school provides

We are a first school PTA. We put on events such as Discos, Christmas Raffle and Summer Fair. The money we raise is put back into the school for the benefit of the children. In recent years we have supplied such things as a mile-a-day track and e-reading scheme.

The Trust provides affordable holiday breaks to carers, particularly unpaid carers, in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent who would find it difficult or impossible otherwise to afford a much-needed holiday. These holidays are in caravans owned by the Trust on serviced sites in North West England and Wales. At least one of the caravans owned by the Trust is adapted for people with disabilities.

Archives West Midlands is an independent, strategic partnership of archive services which aims to maximise the benefits of working together in terms of shared projects and funding opportunities. We aim to promote the importance of archives; support members to achieve accreditation and workforce development; explore a regional solution for digital preservation; develop a volunteer strategy.

Provide a public library service

To advance the Christian religion in Ashby-de-la-Zouch and elsewhere; to promote any charitable purpose within the area of benefit.

Performing musical concerts

To support local foodbanks in the Cheshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire area.To support international relief work through donating goods. To assist disabled persons and in particular provide wheel chairs.

EDUCATION

To care for insure and maintain the 6.4 acre field together with surrounding hedges and entrance/exit gateways. To provide an open and free area of recreation suitable for all ages ability and gender. To maintain the football pitch, the cricket pitch, basket ball court and exercise equipment suitable for all ages and abilities and a play area for children.

We rehearse for and perform choral concerts. We usually perform classical concerts in the late autumn and spring along with carol concerts at Christmas time and a lighter summer concert.

The charity pursues the study and practice of choral music, in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music, by means of public performance and also other charitable purposes, in particular but not exclusively, by the making of charitable donations.

We are a close harmony singing group and give concerts for the public often in collaboration with others for local and national charities. We provide free learning workshops and courses in the community to encourage men to take up singing and learn the skills that will improve their confidence, health and wellbeing.

Educational Fundraising

To manage the recreation ground (the Trust proprety) and pavilion for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Mayfield.

Organise and host community events in our Village Hall; arrange lettings for our hall and its facilities.
