Organise events in school for parents to attend to raise extra funds to enhance the educational experience of their children

The primary objective of the trust is to hold and utilise the trust fund for the provision and maintenance of Derrington Millennium Green for the benefit of the inhabitants of Derrington. The property is used for informal recreation, a meeting area or place for community events. A significant part of the Green's management is to encourage wildlife by leaving some areas in a more natural state.

THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE SOCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF THE WEST MIDLANDS; ISSUES AFFECTING YOUNG PEOPLE; AND INTERGENERATIONAL PERCEPTIONS OF YOUNG PEOPLE, THROUGH THE FACILITATION AND PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF COMMUNITY LED MEDIA ENGAGEMENT PROJECTS.

The object of the Opera Group is to educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts and to further the development of the public appreciation and taste in the said arts, to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes as the committee from time to time shall determine.

We are a male choir providing the opportunity for men to exercise and develop their musical skills in group format. We raise funds from concerts and recordings which enable us to make donations to various selected charities and deserving causes and to like effect provide our services to other charities to assist in their direct fundraising.

Our main activities involve:Fund raisingMaking grants to schoolSetting aside funds for special purposesProvide / subsidise social events to bring the school community together

Making grants to individuals who have suffered injury or sickness as a result of their participation in the sport of Rugby Union within the area of benefit and the relief of those same persons and their dependants in necessitous circumstances.

To help raise money for the school re educational and recreational purposes.

Current activities:- Vocational courses provided by Newcastle-Under-Lyme College, community groups; young at hearts, upholstery & craft, painting and yoga. Centre available for private functions, annexe to building offering part-time post office facilities.

The object of the charity is to distribute the interest received on capital invested to non-profit making organisations and individuals in the local area.

SCHOOL PTA

An annual festival for Music, Speech and Drama, held in March, which is open to all, and competitors receive an adjudication, with winner receiving a trophy. Also a High Scorers Concert in May.

Fairs, family evenings.

Support the Museum of the Staffordshire Yeomanry in the High House, Stafford so that it may be a tribute to the men of Staffordshire who served in the war and an interesting social history for today's public. The Charity relies on donations and gifts to meet its objectives

The promotion and advancement of the aesthetic education of the public, the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts, and the giving of aid to the preservation of our national artistic heritage for the benefit of the public.

The charity works with those experiencing, or are at risk of homelessness in the Staffordshire area, by providing quality homes and support in partnership with local churches.

The Midland Geotechnical Society organises evening lectures in the Birmingham area, generally once a month between October and May. The lectures are on a geotechnical topic and promote continued education of students, practising engineers and retired members of the geotechnical community. Occasional afternoon seminars and site visits are arranged. We make several financial awards per year.

To make grants to individuals and organisations involved in education and training

The objective of St Mary's PTA is to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with St Mary's Primary School, Colton, and to engage in fundraising activities to provide facilities, equipment and experiences which support the school and advance the wellbeing and educational needs of the pupils.

Our trust deed states that we pay towards the upkeep etc of the school buildings.To this end we paid for the restoration of the school clock. Secondly, we promote the education of children who,or whose parents, are resident in the Parish of Colton, or who are in attendance at the said school.
