To provide financial assistance to the poor and needy amongst the congregation and associates of St Thomas's Methodist Church, Belvedere Road, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire and residents of the neighbourhood and community which this Church seeks to serve.

A community venue

The charities activities are based around fundraising events to support the children with physical and associated sensory difficulties at Penn Hall School. All monies raised go directly to the provision of equipment, activities and opportunities for the children aged 3 - 19 who attend Penn Hall School.

The PTFA works with our school, pupils, staff, parents and the local community to raise the profile of ourschool and to raise funds to enable the pupils to experience a wider education than would be otherwisepossible. We liase with the headteacher and other staff to raise funds for specific projects as required,and put on other social events to bring the community together with the school.

Offer help and support to stroke survivors, their carers and family. Activities include weekly exercise session and mutual support. Aim to enable survivors to lead as normal life as possible by organising regular outings. Meals, gliding, sports day are a few of the activities we offer. We also provide information to improve the treatment of strokes and the subsequent rehabilitation.

In accordance with the terms of the Trust , the available income is paid to Newcastle under Lyme Endowed schools. The Trustees are satisfied that these purposes remain charitable and for the public benefit.The Trustees have complied with the duty in Section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.

Published transcripts and editions of archive material related to Staffordshire as well as monographs on the history of Staffordshire. These are available in public libraries across the country as well as to members of the public for a small fee. The society also has a website to help increase access to current and previous volumes.

PRESERVE AND MAINTAIN A PART OF THE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE FOR THE PEOPLE OF LEEK AND SURROUNDING AREAS. PROVIDE AN INSIGHT INTO THE EARLY LIFE AND INITIAL LEARNING OF JAMES BRINDLEY AS A MILLWRIGHT BEFORE GOING ON TO CONSTRUCT AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE BRITISH CANAL NETWORK.

THERE ARE NO ACTIVITIES FOR THE CHEADLE UNITED CHARITIES, THE INTEREST FROM THE INVESTED MONEY FROM WEATHLY PEOPLE WHO LEFT MONEY FOR VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE COMMUNITY OF CHEADLE, i.e. OVER 60's, WIDOWS, WIDOWERS AND THE NEEDY OF THE TOWN. WITHIN THE COMBINED CHARITY THE RECREATION GROUND LEFT TO THE TOWN CAN RECEIVE FUNDS FOR THE UPKEEP THE MONEY IS ONLY DISTRIBUTED ONCE A YEAR IN DEC

For educational work at Leek School and assisting any pupils who are in need in such manner as the bank shall at discretion think fit.
