Burntwood YFC is a local charity providing youth work in and out of schools, colleges and churches across Burntwood and the surrounding areas. We are an independent local centre of Youth for Christ and we work with young people from ages 10-19 years old and up to 25 for those with learning difficulties. We work in accordance with the five outcomes set out in Every Child Matters.

BWH PTA arrange school and public fund raising events for the benefit of pupils of the school and support school functions.

To educate and help young people by by the provision of personnel and services to encourage faith and follow doctrines and by providing facilities for recreation or leisure time occupation so as to develop their physical, mental, spiritual, capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved

To assist in such ways as the Trustees think fit to help with Educational needs of persons under the age of 25 years who are resident or who have parents resident in the Parish of Warslow and Elkstones and who are in the opinion of the Trustees are in need of financial assistance.

General charitable purposes

TO PROVIDE A SOCIAL CLUB FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE AND THEIR CARERS. MEETS EVERY FRIDAY.ACTIVITIES INCLUDE BAKING, FLOWER ARRANGING, GENTLE EXERCISE, SPECIAL INTEREST SPEAKERS, SOCIAL SERVICES INFORMATION GIVING AND VISITS TO PUBS AND GARDEN CENTRES.SPECIALIST TRANSPORT PROVIDED. THERE ARE COSTS FOR THIS SERVICE, E.G. SUBSCRIPTION, LUNCH, REFRESHMENTS AND TRANSPORT.

To provide a community transport service for those inhabitants of the parishes of Betley,Balterley&Wrinehill; Chapel&Hill Chorlton; Keele; Madeley; Maer&Aston; and Whitmore who are in need of such a service because of age, sickness or disability (mental or physical) of poverty, or because of a lack of availability of adequate and safe public passenger services.

We are a grant making trust. We focus on the prevention of suicide amongst ethnic minorities and mental health issues. We sponsor the Middlesex Girls Chess Championship under the aegis of Barnet Junior Chess. Most grants to West Midlands organizations.We are transferring our funds to Staffordshire Community Foundation but will continue to control grants from our trust.

The Codsall Community Arts Festival Association organises and runs a biennial three-week Festival bringing together the South Staffordshire communities of Codsall, Bilbrook, Perton and Pattingham. Each Festival contains a programme of events to appeal to a wide audience with a mix of professional and amateur performances, exhibitions and school workshops.

As well as providing grants to deserving causes within our community and the Lions District and Multiple District the Lions Club of Leek undertake a number of community service projects :-Christmas lunch for members of the Leek Stroke Club, Spectacle Recycling. Message in a Bottle, Message in a Wallet, In Case of Emergency Labels and Santa Duties
