Diversions' is a support network, based in the North West of England, for families with a child or young person living with a bladder or bowel diversion / dysfunction. We provide opportunities for people to experience a range of different fun activities through our regular programme of events. These include outdoor adventures and team building tasks, art work-shops and day trips out

Singing training to male members, giving concerts to support other charitable and community based organisations.

Our guild is part of the National Organisation of Townswomen's Guilds and we follow their rules.

Provides advocacy/advice/information/activities to those with ME in and around the Stockport District of Greater Manchester, UK

The Trust organises educational visits and lectures, undertakes research into existing and lost gardens and parks, comments upon planning issues affecting designed landscapes, produces a quarterly newsletter. It is undertaking a project bringing the information on the Caldwell Nurseries of Knutsford to the public.

Organising fund raising events, such as jazz concerts, garden parties etc. Organising charity collections at Christmas, such as house to house collections, street collections and store collections. Ensuring the proceeds are donated to Rotary charities at home and overseas, and other good causes that are charitable (see website).

An independent, voluntary, non-profit, community burial and bereavement services organisation based in Old Trafford, Manchester run purely by volunteers. We provide a unique, personal, empathetic service to bereaving families when losing a loved one. Our main purpose is to help, support and guide bereaving Muslim families in Manchester when a loved one passes away.

Fundraising

Monthly meetings held from September to April with speaker talks on local history and history further afield. Activities include Field trips; Summer evening walks; Monthly e-Newsletter and Website. We manage an Archives Centre with online catalogue for documents / items relating to Marple, Marple Bridge, Mellor, Compstall, Hawk Green, High Lane and Strines. We work with likeminded organisations.

For the charitable relief of members of the medical profession and their families, and widows of deceased members of the medical profession; any other necessitous persons connected with the medical profession; and for purposes which are charitable in law and related to medicine or the medical profession.

Subject study, social gatherings.

To ensure the ongoing existence of the Woodley Girl Guide Hut for the benefit of the Girl Guide, Brownie and Rainbows Units.

Provides music tuition for young people from the age of 8 to 18 years, primarily on the recorder but also covering ensemble playing, music theory and aural skills

Heritage Tramcar restoration and running of restored vehicles within Heaton Park in Manchester, run solely by volunteers. Maintaining heritage tramway infrastructure and undertaking restoration works on tramcars originally built from 1880 onwards.

The Charity helps and raises money for the benefit and development of the students who attend Great Moor Infant School.

Masonic activities and support to members and other local charities.

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society. To support, advise and accommodate the homeless and inadequately housed. To relieve poverty among refugees, asylum seekers, migrant workers and their dependants living in Stockport

General Charitable Activity

This charity has been set up to improve engagement in sports and other leisure activities by the children of Reddish (Stockport) and the immediate areas. We provide grants and or specific items to local groups so that children can participate in local activities. We are funded solely by donations from the local community.

A variety of school fundraising events for example Disco's, School Fairs and quiz/Games Nights.

TO MAKE GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS

To relieve emotional distress through providing low cost, self-referred counselling to adults on low income, young people & children who, through lack of means would otherwise be unable to access such support. Based in South Manchester. Clients self refer via 24hour answerphone. 35 voluntary counsellors offer sessions 7 days per week. Appointment only.
