Darlington Association on Disability was established in 1986 as a voluntary and charitable organisation led by disabled people. It exists to promote independence and choice, and supports disabled people and carers through the provision of services, support and information and by tackling issues locally and nationally. DAD promotes the social model of disability.

ARC is an organisation working from its venue to enhance the well-being of the whole community of Stockton and the Tees Valley, through arts and creative learning activity, through widening opportunities to experience and participate in the arts, and through partnership with other organisations.

The charity is involved in activities to improve the rivers, streams, watercourses and water impoundments of the catchments of the river Tees and its tributaries. In particular, work has been undertaken to deliver advice and capital works on diffuse rural pollution and invasive species control at a number of locations. The charity has also delivered River lab projects into local schools.

WE OFFER HOUSING & SUPPORT TO HOMELESS YOUNG MEN IN STOCKTON-ON-TEES WITH VARIOUS PROBLEMS WHICH CAN INCLUDE DRUG AND ALCOHOL MISUSE. WE TRY TO HELP OUR RESIDENTS TO BECOME DRUG FREE AND LIVE INDEPENDENTLY THROUGH HELP AND SUPPORT.WE SEPARATELY OPERATE A RESIDENTIAL FAMILY ASSESSMENT CENTRE AT OUR FARM IN BISHOP AUCKLAND.

The provision of Apprenticeship training to young people and unemployed adults in the computing and business environment.The Company's vision, as approved by the directors, is to be recognised by individuals and employers as providing excellence in Vocational and Work-based learning in the North East region.
