Light Church is a lively, family-friendly church in Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent. We love God, we love people and we love our community and city. You are very welcome to visit us, we meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30am and have loads of activities and groups meeting throughout the week.

Meet to worship God, hear preaching, pray together, run children's activities, enjoy fellowship & be a place of welcome, safety & growth. Meet mid week in small groups for fellowship, worship, prayer & bible study. Train & teach staff & church members. Utilise venue for community projects to benefit many in the community & run social events.

The charity has produced a number of theatrical performances engaging both members and audiences alike.We have also continued our support of other local organisations and theatre companies through the provision of lighting and sound equipment hire and advice.

Development of young people, primarily through the medium of performing arts - running training, workshops & theatrical performances

To provide support and guidance to individuals and families of those serving, or have served, or in any associated branch of the armed forces of the United Kingdom, and in the transition from service to civilian life. Using all and any relevant agencies to achieve our aims.

Provides daily care Monday to Friday 8.30am-2.30pm. Learning through play for children aged 2-5 years. Provides free funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

Church based charity which is actively involved in helping the local community through a variety of social activities involving all age groups from luncheon club etc for the elderly to clubs and activities for young people, and activities for people with disabilities.

We provide education and training for disadvantaged people who through their social and economic circumstances are in need and unable to gain employment, through on-the-job training and work experience.

RUFF & RUBY engages young people to realise their value, reach their potential , reframe their world & repurpose their generation by raising self esteem & aspirations, fostering 'opportunities & purpose through ' topic based WORKSHOPS, 121 acts of kindness for youth in poverty, self worth courses, Sound advice music studio & Artists : ANTIDOTE ' positive music with a positive message'

Islamic Teaching & Prayer activities

Provision of hot dinners to persons unable to produce them for themselves.

Gives charitable donations to six trusts, of which four are in the surrounding parishes one being for the maintenance of Lady Leveson chapel in Warwick cathedral

a. To promote the mental health, wellbeing, and rights of LGBT individuals and individuals affected by HIV in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and beyond.b. To work with organisations, communities, and individuals to challenge stigma, promote understanding, and provide education on issues related to sexuality, gender identity and HIV.c. To work towards ending new HIV transmissions by 2030

We provide recuperative holidays in UK and Belarus; fund children's hospice care; deliver training in many aspects of child care; work with family associations supporting children with cancer, diabetes or disabilities; initiate projects to improve the social and educational opportunties for children and young people with disabilities.

The parish provides two buildings which are available for Christian worship and prayer, also community centre facilities including a CIC pre-school and a not-for-profit cafe.

The Chaity is responsible for the whole mission of the two Churches that serve the Parish, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. The Parish is served by St. Peter's Church, Caverswall and St. Andrew's Church, Weston Coyney. Key activities include weekly Worship services, community activities for all ages, Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, links to the local schools.

Parochial Church Council

We organise cultural and religious events, with occasional talks on Hindu philosophy for the Asian community, especially elderly folks who mostly live a very deprived and isolated life. We also arrange "tabla classes" and yoga sessions for our younger group.Offer cultural activities to Hindu Community, promote equality and diversity, organise Diwali cultural celebrations for Stoke City Council.

Green Door is for everyone and provides accessible activities encouraging the use of our local green spaces. Our aim is to help reduce loneliness and isolation in our communities. We offer accessible and adapted cycling for 11 months of the year with seasonal canoeing/kayaking and archery. We also deliver monthly history walks and talks. Green Door is volunteer-led with 2 staff in support.
