Charitable assistance to defined group

Providing boat trips for people with disabilities on the Montgomery Canal at Welshpool. Two boats are in operation and both are specially adapted with lifts/ramps/wheelchair access etc.

. The charity serves the local community by helping people who are elderly, disabled and or disadvantaged. They make grants to individuals, local organisations and national and international appeals Support is also offered to improve the physical and natural environment. They raise funds from public donations and the provision of events such as carnivals,fetes firework displays and similar.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF SAMARITANS OF STOKE & NEWCASTLE IS TO REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF DEATH BY SUICIDE BUT WE ALSO SUPPORT ANYONE IN DISTRESS OF ANY KIND. SAMARITANS PROVIDE A 24/7 SUPPORT SERVICE TO ANYONE DISTRESSED OR IN DESPAIR BY A FREEPHONE TELEPHONE LINE, E-MAIL AND TEXT, AND OUR BRANCH IS OPEN FOR FACE TO FACE VISITS. WE ARE ALSO COMMITTED TO LOCAL OUTREACH WORK TO MAKE OUR SERVICE KNOWN.

Relieve the needs of adults recovering from homelessness in the Stoke & North Staffordshire local government area who are ready to transition from homeless shelters & hostel provision & who need additional support before living independently by the provision of accommodation, advice & support so that they may increase their confidence to live independently & prevent the recurrence of homelessness

We provide academy style football coaching for vulnerable children in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire. Vulnerable includes children from low-income households, children who have experienced abuse or neglect or are in care or who are young carers, and children who who have special educational needs

aiM is a charity that provides financial support to families that require professional support through counselling by registered professionals after the loss of a family member from Sepsis. Support is available for families in the Stoke-on-Trent area, support can be in the form of 1 to 1 counselling sessions for group support led by a professional. All funding is self generated by aiM.
