Lakenheath Consolidated Charities has an annual distribution to the aged and needy of the parish in December. Each year there are some two hundred and fifty or more applicants who receive approximately thirty pounds per household with the over nineties receiving an extra five pounds and those over 100 receiving fifty pounds. We also make individual donations for such items as wheelchairs etc.

The purpose of the charity is to provide a museum showing the history of Beccles and the surrounding district. Occasional special exhibitions are organised. The museum is open to the public from April to the end of October

The objects of the society are to educate the public in the arts and sciences, and in particular the art and science of music, in the presentation of concerts and other activities.

Have given grants to Hundon Educational Foundation to enable them to support parishioners under the age of 25 with educational activities. Have given grants to the Ecclesiastical Charity to enable them to provide disabled access and alarms to the church etc. Provided allotment areas to 10 new parishioners. Continued with allotment areas for 28 other parishioners. Rented approx 36 acres farmland

We support children under the age of 16 in the East of England, who are receiving treatment for a cancer at Addenbrookes Hospital. We either make a grant or purchase a special gift in order to make there journey just that little bit more tolerable. This is support for the child as well as their family.

Provides housing for elderly people

The Trust was established in order to provide financial help for people with a learning disability and their carers. The intention is to make grants towards projects such as helping with holidays, providing equipment outright or on loan, paying for transport, paying fees for educational help etc

Parent teacher group who fund raise for school.Activities include Sponsored events, school discos, Summer/Winter Fayres and others.All events have Teacher and/or Parental supervision. Trustees are never responsible for children other than their own.

The provision of water based activities, and training, principally sailing, for young people aged between 8 and 16 who would not normally have such opportunities, through dinghy and kayak training by qualified instructors on the River Stour and the provision of boating activities through partners including those offering experiences on long boats,traditional fishing smacks, barges and yachts.

TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE GAMBIA, WITH A VIEW TO RELIEVING AND PREVENTING POVERTY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) BUILDING AND RUNNING A SCHOOL IN THE VILLAGE OF SUKUTA IN THE GAMBIA SO THAT IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY CAN BE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE FREE SCHOOLING THEY MAY OTHERWISE NOT HAVE HAD. B) SUPPORTING EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN IN THE SAME VILLAGE.

THE PROMOTION OF CHORAL SINGING FOR ALL

To provide facilities for use by people of all ages from within the village and surrounding area.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of Great Finborough without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for: (a) meetings, lectures and classes, and (b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

Village Hall used for various clubs and meetings.

St Johns CEVAP School Parent Teacher Association.Raises funds to help the school provide extra resources to the benefit of the pupils. Runs social events for parents and children; providing an opportunity for people to meet and get to know each other. Provides support for school trips and outings and other special events.
